Really a great car

I bought my AWD tech Acura TL new in 2013. It now has 126,000 miles on it, and it still runs great. Really glad I bought this car. Only problem I had was the in dash key fob mount broke. I got new brakes at 70,000 miles and choose to replace the timing belt at 110,000 miles. If you buy a used one from the dealer, ask about timing belt status. It’s a $1,200 service, ouch. The AWD is amazing in the snow, and on dry roads the car handles like a go kart. Only negative to this car for me, is that it needs premium gas. Last thing, the car flies, 0-60 is posted at 5.5 seconds, but I swear mine is faster. And 30 to 80 mph is faster, great tollway cruiser.

This car is always in the "top used car" lists as the one to buy. Trouble-free, comfortable, and not so great gas mileage. This is a full-sized auto....and after coming out of a Toyota Prius; it tool some adjustment. Acura made this model a true Road warrior, and one I took off the very noisy Michelin tires, and put Yokahama's on.....much more quiet and road handling. Leather is good, and sound system is top drawer. Trunk could have been bigger , but overall have been happy with my purchase. Have owned it over 2 years now. Only 57K on odometer.

Good Performance for a large sedan

I have owned this car for about seven months now and I bought it used for around twenty thousand dollars and it had twenty eight thousand miles. I currently own this vehicle along with a rear wheel drive G37 coupe from Infiniti. The Acura has been very good to me. Lets begin with the outward appearance. The car is definitely different from most on the road today and I believe the later models of the TL are the best looking of the newer body style. The car is still much more attractive to me than the newer TLX sedans. The performance of the car is very good considering the sheer size of the vehicle. It goes around the corners like it is on rails and the ride is not as harsh as one would imagine with stock 19 inch wheels. The TL definitely rides smoother than the G37 but the steering upon takeoff can get a little wild when sending 280 HP to the front wheels. The torque steer is something I would be weary about if purchasing again. I would have preferred to get an AWD model but they have problems burning oil in their 3.7L engines. The engine noise is very minimal unless you are really giving it some gas so it keeps with the luxury feel. The brakes on this car are very good and seem to stop this tank well. The biggest miss for this car is the lack of features compared to other competitors. I actually was someone who specifically looked for a stripped down luxury car to keep future repair costs low. I believe that the more tech in a car, the quicker it will become outdated so this TL is actually all you need. With the XM radio and Bluetooth I do not feel like there are a lack of options. The stereo speakers are terrible in any Acura and will in no way compare to the Bose audio in the Infiniti. So far the only issues I have had were a drivers side window which is extremely slow to roll up, and the attributed this to lack of lubricant. I also experience hard transmission shifts in cold weather but this is solved by letting the car warm up for a few minutes. Overall I would buy another TL, just maybe not over another Infiniti G37.

I have had to replace the transmission twice in less than 100 K miles; they blamed my driving but it never happened in 5 previous non-Acura cars
