Excellent Compromise Sedan

If you are too big for the Infiniti G35 cabin, yet want a performing sedan with high reliability, this is the car. It's not a rear driver, the auto selectshift isn't as good as std trans performance, but its a freeway cruiser for everyday tasks and fun to drive. Suspension is a bit too firm, and the automatic slows after 85 when punched to pass and the tires aren't what they could have been if you got the Bridgestones, the seats are set a bit too low to get out of the car easily, and there are cabin area rattles sometimes. But nobody seems to have a better car on the market within 10 grand more with such roomy front cabin. And the electronics & sound are sweet.

TL has value, aesthetics, refinement

I tested BMW 3 (pre 5/05), Saab 3 and 5, Infi G35X, and Lexus ES. To my ears the Acura TL engine was the most musical up and down the tach, and the automatic with sequential shift feature is very smooth and entertaining (and even practical when slower speeds and descents must be controlled). Suspension and brakes inspire confidence. What sold me on the car was the well-designed interior, the look and feel of the perforated leather seats, which are firm yet plush. For a midsize car, this has plenty of room on the inside for driver and passengers.

A higher form of performance

We have had the TL for almost a year by this summer and we havn't had one problem yet. The best part about it is it's sporty, looks like it's worth 40 grand but your only paying a little over 30. Awesome performace and VTEC (variable valve timing in the engine) gives you excellent gas mileage. This car is just about perfect and the best car we have ever owned, we may never buy another car besides and Acura ever again.

The best car I have ever owned!

The quality of workmanship is far above that I have experienced in any other car. Everything fits perfectly and works perfectly. My new Acura was totaled on 6-4-05 by a Chevy Suburban who smashed into the rear while doing 50 mph. When the insurance pays off, I plan to buy ANOTHER Acura TL. I have no interest in even looking at other cars!

This car has performed flawlessly. I have had zero maintenance problems and it handles like a sports car. Extremely comfortable and very solid on the road. Wind noise is a bit annoying, low end torque could be better and I have had a break squeal on application that the dealer has never been able to correct. I put on almost 1000 miles a week of high speed mileage with no induced driver fatigue. I also own a 3 Series BMW but like the Acura better.
