Used 2005 Acura TL Consumer Reviews
Beats my BMW 3 series hands down
You get a LOT of car for your money. I used to own a 2000 BMW 3 series. The difference between the 2 cars is night & day. The BMW had better handling, no doubt, but thats it. It pales in comparison in every other respect. The TL is beutifully executed - the navi, stereo and bluetooth are seamlessly integrated with the voice control system. It really is a flawless experience. One note. I use a Treo 650 bluetooth phone. The phone needs to be updated from Palm's website for the bluetooth to work correctly with the car. Its a phone problem, nothing to do with the car. Once updated, however, it works beautifully.
Great value but not perfect
It's been 6 months and I'm still happy with the purchase. The car is beautiful inside and out and full of useful gadgets. Performace is strong and I haven't had any mechanical problems with the car. I do have a few complaints. The turning radius is terrible, I'm afraid to do U-turns now for fear that I'll have to do a three pointer. There are too many small rattles for a car in this segment. Then again, I'd rather have rattles than mechanical failure like recent Germans. Desperately needs an MP3 jack and an 8-way passenger seat. The Navi disclaimer needs a permanent bypass, I'm sick of pressing OK everytime. Overall, a good car whose value makes it great.

Best car I've ever owned
This car has a TON of standard features. Quality is first rate. Looks awesome everytime I park it and look back. By far, it's the best car I've ever known. Compared to the G35 coupe, it's a little slower and doesn't shift as smooth, but that's about it. Other than that, this car is 10 times better than a G35 coupe, in my opinion. The quality, radio, seat memory, tilting mirrors, and financing are the top reasons why I got this car over the G35. I'm telling you, this car is AWESOME!
Awesome first luxury car!
I am so glad to be in a well-made vehicle. I am 25 and getting into my career as a commercial interior designer, so this car is still fun to drive for my age, but has the luxury that I need to take my clients around.
Best $34,000 you can spend
The TL provides you with a quiet interior, supportive seats and decent handling. My last car was a sports sedan, so I am used to tighter cornering than the TL allows for. Great sound system; steering wheel controls a little inconvenient-can't switch CDs in multidisk player without removing hands from wheel. Handles well in the snow with stock tires. Dual climate control adjusts quickly, heated seats heat quickly. Tons of features packed into this car. Very sophisticated dash with combo of metal, wood and black trim. Ample room for adults in the back seat. Inconvenient that the rear seat does not fold down. Also, poor turning radius-it's easier to back this car in to parking spots. Highly recommended!
