Wire harness/whiney noise/rough shift
This is our 3rd Acura MDX. We have had the wire harness replaced/“repaired” 3 different times so far. Every warning light on the dash was on and many extra and/or safety features would not work while the lights were on. Since the last replacement we haven’t had any lights on the dash come on. HOWEVER. We have the annoying whiney noise around 45-50 mph, our map is super glitchy and zooms all the way out anytime navigation instructions are given- and the voice has glitched out a couple of times. Sounded like a CB radio giving instructions. We’ve had scraping noises in the wheel wells several times and were told it was pebbles or stones getting stuck (how?!), when my husband drives the car with his key (driver 2) and then I go to drive it (with my key- driver 1) it doesn’t reset to my key fob specifications. The only way I can “reset” it is to step outside the car lock it and then unlock it and start the car again. There have been several other really random, odd, and annoying small issues. This should not happen on any vehicle, but especially on a brand new vehicle! We are about ready to take it back and get a totally different brand. I’m an Acura girl. This is my forth Acura in my lifetime (first car was an Integra and then 3 MDX) and I am a loyal buyer, but I’m super disappointed and frustrated that the dealership looks at us like we’re idiots when we try to address the issues.

Sporty, strong and agile
I traded in my 22 MDX for a 25 MDX and I am really happy with the minor changes and upgrades I now enjoy. I loved my 22, but the new one brings a few touches that I appreciate. I was a fan of the touch pad and it did not bother me but the touchscreen I think looks better, has better resolution, you can choose to open the map completely instead of the dual view, overall I think this is game changer. I have had 6 Hondas with navigation systems and for some reason Honda goes back and forth with their screen design, I think the best kind is touch less screen close to the driver hands, because it’s very intuitive to reach and try to change things with your hands as we are used to our phones and tablets. Another big change in my opinion is the new sound system which is excellent, it is truly amazing. Mechanics and the rest of the car is pretty much the same. I love my MDX, the space, the quality touches, the agility and precision make me love this car.

Disappointed in 2025 MDX
More highway wind noise than previous my 2011 and 2016. CarPlay consistently loses coverage. No SiriusXM. So So interior compared to all other luxury SUV’s

Wind noise-No guts-no SiriusXM
Have had my 2025 MDX for 2 months. Too much wind noise when traveling over 50 mph. Slow on acceleration then rides smoothly. There is no SiriusXM. This is a real problem for me.

3rd MDX-this is the best
Touch screen is a big improvement but it is a little cumbersome when using Apple Car Play, but still better than the over sensitive touch pad. Ride is great. Handles great. Interior fit an finish is excellent. I dont like the start stop option but you can turn it off on a control on the counsel. Counsel is large. Charging pad is also a little cumbersome, but works. Better if you don't have a case. I use an Apple case and it works pretty good. Storage, room, and comfort are excellent, even third row seat is Ok for small adults and it's easy to get into and out of. This is my third. I had a 2019. 2023 and this one 2025.
