Integras last long time
This is the first car I've owned and I've been miserly with maintenance. Oil changes every 6K miles and timing belt changes every 75K miles. The only improvements I made were the K&N filters (air and oil) and this car runs like the day I bought it-- it scoots. It doesn;t ask for much, but it delivers reliability and performance better than BMW or Mustang.
LOVE MY TEG!
I bought this car from my mom in 2000 after I talked her into buying a 2000 TL (great car). She had never had a single major problem with it and now I'm enjoying the reliability of this wonderful machine. I've done quite a few mods and am very impressed with the "unharnessed" power of this DOHC B18 engine. I'm giving the car to my fiance because I don't have the heart to sell it. The best car I've ever owned - hands down!
a reliable honda
I have 266k miles on mine. replaced the head gasket at 265k along with the distributor. It is a reliable car and really good on gas...most other cars of the same year are usually somewhere in a scrap yard.
Holding Up over 200k miles.
Bought at 178k from a friend, now has 218k miles. Stick. Car is fun to drive, handles and runs well, better then my 92 accord (LX-auto). Clutch took some getting used to. Don't care a ton for the anti-lock brakes in snow. Fairly reliable, but several age related repairs are now showing up (thermostat, rear calipers, alternator; main relay and fan control module starting to go; small oil leak at valve cover gasket; frameless windows seals starting to lose some elasticity). Typical 90s Honda rear wheel well rust. Trunk lid size and rear seats are small for this size of vehicle (my 84 escort was slightly better). Still, I would recommend and have enjoyed owning.
How long can this car last.
Bought the Integra LS new in Tampa. Now has 303,000 miles and still runs good and has the original clutch. Doesn't look good any more but drives well. Will drive it till the engine dies, which doesn't look like any time soon. Since the last review I have hit a bear at about 55MPH. Destroyed the head lights and buckled the hood. Straightened the hood, got aftermarket head lights and now use the car every day at 314,556 miles. Car is only 28 years old.

Oldy and a Little Moldy
I see that Acura just re-introduced in 2023 the new Integra. Its a 4-door sedan instead of this 2- or 3-door hatchback and believe more than twice the price of this model. This vehicle has been generally good. It's been mostly garaged for the past 10+ years. With heat and humidity the vinyl in the dash and the steering wheel has picked up some mold. Finally a solution of water and denatured alcohol helped quite a bit in killing it. It's been through many batteries, the entire AC system was overhauled, some of the front end bushings have been replaced, the turn signal flasher unit was replaced and the original repaired for a spare. An electronic control box (exact name?) near the driver's feet was replaced with one found available from a junk yard many states away. Believe this failure was associated with a time when the alternator went bad - which has also been replaced. The radio died and all the speakers with the mold problem were disintegrating -- all this has also been replaced, but miss that original radio (though still have it in a box). You can see that after most of it's driving life (~105K miles) it has become somewhat of a repair hobby -- in its latest role -- such a deal! It may just go into a 3rd role as a retirement vehicle, except who knows, by then gas may be hard to come by. One thing wish this model had, was a cabin filter. Believe it just missed that by a few years.

Bought New
We bought this car brand new and even though it is my main daily driver to work it still has just 70k miles. It's garage kept and still looks new. Only complaints is the rear brake occasionally sticks and I have to remove the wheel and pop it open again and the high engine noise at freeway speeds. Very comfortable for short trips (I'm 6' 3") but anything over an hour and I get sore on those hard seats.
Awesome Car
I have a 1991 Acura Integra with 190,000 miles. I teach Drivers Education in it. I have put on 40k a year and have not had to do anything but replace three window motors. (same window) Other than that, I could not recommend this car enough. I am in the market for another one.
Love the new 'teg
I've only had it a short while, but it is AWESOME. Handles beautifully, drives beautifully, and gets on down the road!!!
