Awesome car
In 2003, I bought a '98 Acura CL for $13,000 or so, 33,0000 miles. I drove it until 2016, when it finally gave out at 315,000 miles (I probably could have gotten it fixed again, but by then it was at the stage where parts were falling off the inside as I drove, my heated seat didn't work anymore, etc). It's 6 years later, and I still miss that car. It was quick, very fun to drive, comfy, and had all the bells and whistles I wanted, like heated seats and side mirror defrosters. Plus I loved that it was unique. In a world where it seems like every car looks alike now, there are very few of these on the road. These cars do have a reputation for transmission issues, and I did have to have mine rebuilt at 180,000 miles, so keep that in mind if you're looking at cars with higher mileage. My mechanic felt it was worth it because he said the engine looked great and that my '98 was built better than more recent year Acura's. For me it was well worth it, as I got another 135,000 miles after that (it cost about $2200 10 years ago) and most of all, got 8 car payment-free years. The only thing I don't miss is the 2 doors. It was a PITA if I bought something big. I had to make 2 trips to Babies R Us to get my niece's twin car seats home because the boxes were too big go in between the back of the front seat and the back seat. And for some reason, the trunk lacks a ring at the top so you can bungee it closed. I would buy one of these again in a second, though if I could find one with less than $100,000 miles.

My First Car
My parents purchased a black 2.3 CL for me when I was 16. I absolutely love it. It handles well and is a joy to drive. Very solid car. Takes curves with ease and precision. It has 98,000 miles now, and I have never had any mechanical problems and the interior still looks new. Fuel economy is good; it will easily get 300 mi/tank. I get compliments on it all the time!
