Post from March 2009: "I talked to Volvo again and Exxon-Mobil again and got more clarification on this issue...Mobil 3309 conventional fluid was tested and APPROVED by Volvo, thats why the spec sheet for the product lists specific cars: such as Volvo V70. The NEWLY reformulated (just 5 months ago) Mobil 1 ATF synthetic is "recommended" for these same transmissions...It will say NEW FORMULA on the bottle and the bottle is ... Read More

I do not "routinely carry heavy loads " unless you count a weeks groceries for two people. About every month I bring home about 105 lbs of cat litter in a 3 mile trip . I once carried a 80 lb dishwasher (thats why I like the Volvo back door - most "crossover SUV's " are arranged so you cant get a 27 by 32 inch box in ) I had ... Read More

Hello wannamak. Volvo Finance's lease program for this model varies by term and mileage allowance. You never mentioned what either of these variables are, so for now I will assume that you are interested in a 36 month lease with 15,000 miles per year. Let me know if you want something different. Volvo Finance's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2009 ... Read More

I'm sorry I can't help with residuals or money factor. Volvo is a great car, however there are no bargins in leasing them. In fact , they have just about the worst lease deals of any car manufacturer I can think of. You can reread some of my experiences in past forums and I now own another brand station wagon. If you do lease one do not go over the milage. ... Read More
