• junk for parts??

  Hey guys... Ive got a mitsubishi eclipse GSX 1995, AWD no ABS.... the rear axle is shot and the wheel bearing sucks. Finding parts for a car that was manufactured for ONE year is tough.... bc they're in high demand. Should i find a part and fix it... (around $1,000) or junk it for parts? thanks

  I bought a used 2003 eclipse for $6750. The dealer wanted $6950 for it. The radio was messed up so he gave me $200 off.The car had 71,000 on it. I purchsed a 1995 many years ago, I paid about $10,000 for it. I have been well pleased with the eclipses. I have gotten good service out of them so far. Of course the maintenance has been kept up.

  I have a 1995 mitsubishi eclipse RS 4 cyl. Just today it started dying when i stop at a stoplight, and i gotta push the gas pedal to start it back up. it wont hold an idle. The plugs/wires are new. any suggestions or ideas? thanks in advance

  The non-turbo Eclipses from 1995-1999 (such as yours) have Chrysler engines. Check out wikipedia.com and search on Mitsubishi Eclipse.

  I somehow recently became a proud, yet perplexed owner of a very flashy, corner huggin sporty, black 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS. It straddles the fence in stock goodies as well as after market gizmos. The bigger 4cyl, but not the turbo, A 5spd transmission, PWR door locks/wndws/sun roof, but has finger squisher seats.   When I got my driver's liscense in 1992, one of the cars on my dream list (but couldn't have it due to insurance) was an Eclipse GSX.   i am going to buy a 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS. while this car has no turbo, i am sure it will sure be fast because it is registered for 160. that's not the point though. it has 139,000 miles, no spoiler, and no cd player...other than that, the car is perfect. no paint scratches, to dents, new tires, no torn/ripped interior...it's really nice. anyways, she wants $3,500.00 for the car, and ...
