I have a 2004 Trailblazer EXT LT V8 model, and am having some issues with the transmission. Yesterday when I started up the car, it was reving higher than it should have, and it really didnt have much torque. On the highway I had problems getting enough power to pass people. It was towed yesterday by the chevy dealer to the dealership, and at the dealership the battery died, and the ... Read More

First of all, congratulations on your new truck. I also recently bought a '03 trailblazer the same color and interior, its actually the LT version. I also have not had any problems, it runs great and I love it. A couple of things that I have thought about doing to my truck is to install a cold-air intake (adds horsepower), perhaps a hood scoop and if you can find one an ... Read More

Even though this is a 2004, it does sound like the same problem I had on my '02. They replaced the circuit boards and bulb. It may help te dealership to know that the service bulliten came out before the recall did. I had mine fixed before the recall under warranty.

There was a tail light notice on my 03 Envoy that stated there was 6 yr. coverage on the tail lights..... and I've had my replaced as part of the recall. The notice covered 02-04 vehicles. Why not call the GM customer service 800 number? Do you only have one Chevy dealership in your area? If not, take it to another Chevy dealership. If a part was replaced, it should have been stated so on the repair order. I could be incorrect, but I don't think burnt out tail lamps makes the TB a lemon, yet.

Hi, We're trying to estimate lease payments for a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer. We have the residual % and lease factor. However, to get a more accurate estimate we also need to know what, if any, other lease costs GMAC charges. Does anyone know if there is an aquistion fee or security deposit for GMAC leases? Thanks in advance!

Your numbers look like they are at sticker. You should be able to get invoice easily on a TB. I know three people in my office that just bought Chevy's at or below invoice. Your smartbuy should be at invoice. I would insist on seeing the dealer invoice. How long do you plan on keeping this truck? The balloon payment will be over the blue book value when it comes due. ... Read More

Am moving to AZ soon. Am considering a 2004 or 2003 Chevy TrailBlazer 4x4 (LS or LT). Would like feedback on TB performance on mountain grades; while towing (such as a Kawasaki mule and trailer, or medium size travel trailer); and on AZ's "scenic" high-clearance-only back roads. How does TB compare to Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo (6-cyl) in these performance areas?
