Used 2005 Volvo XC90 T6 AWD 4dr SUV (2.9L 6cyl Turbo 4A) Consumer Reviews
this car raised 3 boys and still goin
my car has 258,000 mi. and still running really good.i put on tow package.tows my skiboat.the ignition key lockout had a problem and woukdnt let ignition turn for a few mins.sometinmes it worked great.after that,i was impatiant.and just forced the shifter when it occasionally acted up.now,i guess the lock is worn out some and when it happens ,it hardly needs forcing.at 250,000 it had warning ligjt saying check oil.started running warm as well.i checked oil.had clean and plenty oil.so i thought oil pump.mechanic took oil pan off,it wad just the intake filter pipe not letting oil by due to years of sludge gathered around intake.cleaned it and runs like new.400$.sound system is premium.has leather, cold ac.2tv dvd headsets.negative-must have the remote to use.and cant operate from the main system controls.just remote.not a big deal.great car.

Xc90 safest
Excellent in driving and safe on road tracking is very good especially in winter. i have no regrets in buying this car. Fuel consumption is also very good. My family is so happy to have this car.

My 2nd Volvo
I always said when Volvo came out with an SUV, I'd have one. So, when it became necessary for me to trade in my old SUV, the first place I looked was Volvo. The entire experience of putting together what I wanted, right up to the delivery which was earlier than anticipated, was great. I've owned 3 SUVs prior to the XC90 and I can honestly say it far out ranks the others in most areas. My only criticism would have to be on the placing (and lack) of cup holders. Everything else gets pretty close to top marks.
mysterious noises, radio changes station
For $51K one would think that vibrational noises would be non existent. On wash board dirt roads or hitting a bump in the road just right there is a harsh rattle/thumping sound coming from the left suspension. This can be felt in the steering column. There is a disturbing wind noise from the right quarter panel area at 60 mi or above. There is a strange click sound from the tail gate that happens every few minutes, this even occurs when the car is still. Most frustrating is the radio and cd player change stations or tracks on it's own. The car has 2000 mi on it,has been in the shop off and on for over a mo.and problems persists. Spoke to the owner today, not even an apology. Very disappointed
XC90 Transmission Nightmares
My '05 T6 XC90 has already had three transmissions replaced. Lucky for me it's all under warranty but based on the frequency of the problem I'm afraid that the new transmission will fail after my warranty has expired. Looks like the only solution for my problem, since I cannot use the lemon law, will be to get rid of this thing as soon as I get it back. The dealer has had it now for two weeks. They can't figure out why the new transmission went out after only one week!
