Disappointment Abounds
Although the Touareg gets loads of attention - looks nice, feels nice - it seems to have a lot of "bugs" to work out. The car is highly computerized and sometimes needs to be rebooted (yes, just like your comptuer at home). This means actually turning off your car, then turning it back on. There have been MULTIPLE recalls on the Touareg and has spent a lot of time in the shop. This has the potential of being a great car if they could work out some of these annoying problems.
Never Again
I have never bought a new vehicle with so many problems. When I first got my Touareg the steering wheel shook and I needed to get an alignment. I have already gotten new brakes. The speakers have constantly been rattling. Also, the radio blew out in my car and made all of the electrical components go out. VW kept my car for 29 days claiming that the part for the radio was on back order. Finally the 17 inch Pirelli tires have blown due to a MFG defect. This is my fist and last VW. Please do not buy a Touareg!

great vehichle
this a great fun to drive suv,the fetures this suv has are awsome, this car is made for a person that loves to drive, but bring your gas card, the fuel mileage is less than desirable for a vw
good with some reservation
The GPS is impossible, none of the sales person are able to demonstrate, and they rely on a mechanic to come from the garage to demonstrate. I have met with this man several times but he demonstrates so fast that it only proves that it works. I have yet to enter an address and be directed to the location. I would not suggest any one to pay the price of this available item
Hate this truck!
In the past 16 months we have had too many electrical problems to count; not to mention off the top of my head: 6 radio changes, many wood panel replacements (they crack in the heat & cold - go figure) a leaking moon roof, the power windows have no power at the moment, a squeak in the wheel that the service department "can't figure out", the computer system for the car reads one thing and the service department says another. We have had no luck or help from VW USA - they have "been reviewing the case" for months, no one ever calls us back after promising to do so. Don't not buy this car - i am trading it in tonight for a Ford Explorer - at least at Ford they call me back. Good riddance!
