Sound car but......
Gave it high marks. Positives: Solid gas mileage. Light. Sporty and fun to drive. Nice interior. Excellent value. Cons: 4 seater w/limited head room. Engine lags when stepping on gas Needs more power. Gas and brake pedal are to close to each other. Very limited 3 year maintenance plan. Lots of plastic in engine compartment.
2011 VR6 cc 4 motion is a nice car
It's a slightly hard to find used car as fewer cc 4 motions were produced for the US market. My vehicle and l believe all cc 4 motion production was built in Germany, but modified for the US market. Performane provides ample pick up, especially passing at 60mph. Car has a smooth high speed ride and a nice rumble sound to the exhaust. Braking and Electric steering work well providing very capable handling and stopping ability. I have owned this car for 3 years having only changed the oil twice and replaced the tires. Nice interior, but could be nicer, so I added a brushed aluminum kit to door grabs and other areas and a black trim kit to the air vents and cup front holders. This additional trim fits the interior well and looks as if it was factory installed. The only issue with interior is a small amount of pealing occured at the ignition area, but the added trim mostly covered it. I'll say viability is decent too. The rear seat lacks headroom, but has not been an issue. That lack of head room is a sacrifice to the exterior appearance. Fold down seats are good, but trunk opening does not allow for large cargo. The gps and back up camera work fine, but take to long to load when starting. I end up backing up many times, after starting, without the backup camera activated. The dyno sound system is very good and tuned correctly. However, I have added an alpine subwoofer to the system, but still decent sound quality without the addition of a subwoofer. Ok, now for the exterior. Well that's probably why you're looking at the cc 4 motion. My car is a Florida car and has tinted windows. Black exterior and tinted windows always looks good. I think it's similar to every other car, but not really as it has a unique look about it. In my opinion the 2011 cc 4 motion is an overall nice car, fun to drive, good looking and an excellent used vehicle value.

Junk the DSG
I have had my CC Sport since December of 2010 and have yet to figure out what the DSG transmission is trying to do. This transmission spoils the otherwise teriffic car. I find that the transmission seems to not find the gear it is looking for and has actually caused the car to fall flat on it's face when pulling out. The turbo lag and this transmission are not ment for each other. Had it back to the dealer and they say everthing is all right. get the manual and it will be a real joy to own.
Hate the transmission
Good value but transmission is all wrong. Shift points in drive mode vs. sport mode are too extreme - drive mode shifts very low (~2200rpm) and in sport mode pretty high (~4500rpm). The transmission disengages when at a complete stop and there is a lag for it to re-engage. Also, when starting from a complete stop with the steering wheel turned it becomes very jerky - as if it is in sport mode.
...forget the Maserati.
I grew up a Chevrolet man, until I moved to Germany and got my first VW; a Rabbit. Followed that up with my first Golf GTI. ...then my second. Then my third, which some idiot killed, t-boning me at over 65 MPH ( I didn't feel a thing ). Then I got myself an Audi A3 Sportline. (Keeping it in the family) Loved that car until some idiot t-boned it. In search of another Golf GTI, I saw an advert' for the CC. I'd always thought they were a pretty sharp car but had zero experience with them, having only ever seen a few and then just driving/walking by. A 4-door coupe? Me? Never. Now I read through reviews on the CC and laugh. Not enough rear headroom...for Andrew the Giant, maybe? Not enough trunk space! I just put two of the four new tire and wheel combinations I had installed today, into the trunk with no problem. Two large suitcases fit easily last month when my lovely wife and I went on a road trip. The rear view is...perfect. What are people complaining about? I have the upscale everything Lux+ (with Executive options) CC. The 2.0T engine is slightly detuned vs the Golf GTI, but a quick trip to APR solved that and now my car has 260 HP and right at 300 FTLBs of torque. The chassis is the MQB world-class design under many VW and Audi platforms; so what's this 'body lean' they keep referencing? My town has a double 90-degree four lane right/left with a 35 MPH speed limit and flashing warning signs which I have driven at 65 MPH, passing up Corvettes, Mushytangs and Chargers and have never felt any 'excessive (or any) body lean' in my CC. The ride is world class. The seats are uber-comfortable even for long hauls, front and rear (I have the all-leather fully electric adjustable). The bolsters you can feel but they're not stiff and obtrusive. The interior is extremely well-done. Go see one. When I roll up to a light, people in their BMWs and Lexuses and Mercedes (taxis in Germany) look and take notice. These cars are sharp. The front windscreen has a super-aggressive rake to it, the C pillar is integrated into the body line at the rear, making the car look even sexier. The rear doors open ridiculously wide, allowing Andre the Giant (or his ghost) to climb in easily. Okay, yeah, he might have to duck once he's in, but seriously? The 2.0T stock makes the CC get up and GO! 70 MPH comes on fast and merging onto the highway is no problem. The DSG transmission is perfection. The shifts are nonexistent and happen without your noticing, even under acceleration. Dropping it into Sport or Manual Auto shift requires knowing how to drive a standard manual to avoid hitting the rev limiter, so if your complaint is the high shift points on Sport Mode, take a driving class. VWs are for drivers. Luckily, most people who bought a CC are older and drive less. So picking up a gorgeous, low-mileage earlier model is a breeze and for literally (almost) nothing! Mine had under 80,000 one-owner miles of dealership-serviced use (2011) and is nearly showroom pristine inside and out. I got it for $5400. But don't take my word for it (of course take my word for it), search for a CC, then go look. Get all the bells and whistles (Lux+) and if you can find a VR6 4-Motion...BUY IT! Dub-life! Stay safe out there!
