2012 Ram 2500
We bought it used with 156,000 miles on it. Fully loaded Longhorn Laramie edition. Other than the backup camera not working, it is very nice so far. The previous owner took good care of it. So we will update once we use it more this year. We have the Cummings diesel pretty quiet for a diesel.
Well, we had to put a new front end on it at the six month mark. They figured they used it … on a farm and just ran it rough for the front end to give out. Everything else still running strong. Going to Grand Canyon from Washington State and back in April. Hopefully it will keep going. I am pretty secure we should enjoy the trip.
After trip to Grand Canyon had to replace the drive shaft? At 65-75mph it felt like something was rubbing. I cant remember what they called it, but they did show me how badly that the metal had been worn down causing the shaking. Still running good, Love the interior, but tired of the mechanical issues.
Noticed the shimy in the steering wheel is back. Have an alignment done and wheels rotated and balanced. Still there at 70+ mph. Not sure what that is?
Update 8/2/2025: So interior still in good shape. We added new wheels & tires earlier this year. Brakes I need to have checked. Engine running good. Idiot light came on yesterday. Not sure why? I think I have a TPMS signal coming through also. But they are new this year? Will follow up after shop looks at it.
