GREAT AUTOMOBILE

2005 Ford Five Hundred
This car is now within a few hundred miles of 100k. Other reviewer's comments regarding braking are very interesting to me. All of my driving life (I am 82) I have driven with the attitude that whatever hurts my car hurts my pocketbook. With very few exceptions I have stuck with Ford automobiles and have never experienced what I would classify as poor braking. In the case of this … car the only brake repair was at 29000 miles, when the rear pads and rotors were replaced under the warranty. I now expect that the brakes will be carefully examined with the 100k servicing. Regarding service, I religiously conform to the manufacturer/s recommendations and maintain the car at the ford dealership. I anticipate what is ahead of me while driving, I do not charge traffic lights to beat the red, and I conform to the law as much as possible. I believe this has saved me a lot of money over the years. This car is one of the best I have ever owned.
