Broken Tundra
I have always had Toyotas. T100, and the 2000 Tundra. They were always reliable. I purchased the D Cab Tundra. SO Big, its not even funny. Backed into a mailbox, couldn't see!. Anyway, 5000 miles into driving, I changed the oil, and saw a leak. Brought it back to Toyota and said , Hey! This ain't funny! They checked it to find a messed up rear main seal. Unheard of in a Toyota! Maybe this one was made @ 430 pm. on a Friday! Built in Indiana! I'm getting scared! Anyway, leak is gone, I'm crossing my fingers...
Troublesome
Love the interior and truck size. Hate the mileage. Extremely poor for a small V8. Poor workmanship. never expected a recall from a Toyota. Tire wear was excessive.

Took a buck for a ride
My 2005 Toyota Tundra picked up a big buck at 70 MPH and took it for a ride almost half a mile before stopping in a field alongside railroad tracks. Airbag deployed. Hit buck so hard knocked his antlers off. Staple patrolman responding stated if I had hit that size buck in anything smaller no way I would walk away without a scratch. I was an older woman on side of road complaining about damage to my truck to rubber knickers and other drivers who stopped to help.

Toyota truck
My Tundra struggles to get things done. It struggles under heavy loads and really sucks the gas. Its towing capacity is considerably less than that of the F-150. I also have a 2004 F-150 and its out performs the Toyota 10 to 1 in terms of power and capacity. It also has a better design and better interior
4 years running...
This is a 4 year review. This should give used sales a boost. First, the reliability is superior. At 40,000, no major problems except for regular scheduled maintenance. I mainly use the truck for traveling. I average approx. 16 mpg. The comfort exceeds any truck I have owned previously. Handles a heavy load well. Load the truck up with timber and still rides like an SUV. The transmission is exceptionally smooth. After 4 years, my Tundra has held up well. I would certainly buy one again.
