Mostly good, but some things need to change!
Pros: smooth ride. Good on gas mileage. Quiet. Nice touch with the hand free opening of side doors and trunk. Cons: this GINORMOUS middle console…why?? God forbid I drop something on the passenger side floor. I have to be pulled over, unbuckle, and rise off my seat head over heels to grab it! The controls for ac/heat are too complicated. I have to press every combination to figure out something as simple as turning the AC on. It shouldn’t be that complicated!! Also wish the sliding doors would stop and close when pressing the button when it hasn’t reached its full opening.

Great Car, with some gripes I want Toyota to fix
Overall, great car. We can pack this to the gills and still get 36 MPG. Amazing. My wife loves driving it. Smooth, quiet ride. Toyota Safety Sense is great --- making for super easy highway driving. It's no wonder these are hard to get. We do not regret this purchase. Now, the things they can do better (please listen Toyota). - You get a thousand annoying beeps for everything under the sun, but NO BEEP when you put your blinker into a car in your blind spot. That boggles my mind. Please fix this Toyota. You get sun glares in your side mirror, making the beep really helpful. Honda got this right. - We always got LE models, but this time we paid extra and got the Limited. I was excited to get REAL ALLOY WHEELS. Nope, denied. Toyota got cheap and put "alloy looking" wheels, on the Limited. Tap and them and they are plastic. WTH? Get this, pay less for the XLE and you get real alloy rims. Makes no sense. Really disappointed about this. - My wife was picking up her college daughter and was parked outside her dorm picking up her stuff. THE CAR BATTERY DIED. Less than 3 year-old battery. She had to call Geico emergency roadside assist and figure out how to jump a hybrid. All the funny warnings you get with this car ... "warning, roads could be icy" --- but NO WARNING for a battery getting ready to fail on you. They can do this better. Thankfully the warranty covered the battery. The factory batteries are often garbage, unfortunately. - Park on a steep incline overnight, and your fuel quantity gauge will go haywire. Ours was stuck on empty for a while. But --- overall, would buy again. 3 years later and I could sell it for what I paid for it. Toyota was smart to bet big on hybrids.

Love my 21 Limited AWD (Canada)
Owned from new, mileage unbelievable for an AWD vehicle of this size. Driving speed limit I can easily get 1200+ Kms on a tank. (5.2-5.4L/100km in spring-fall). Oem tires needed this fall 2024. Should be around 70,000km by then. Many people have had warranty issues with the 12V battery but ive had no issue. If that battery acts up (low voltage) everything will act up till replaced. UPDATE: I have owned a Canadian Edition (Platinum trim not available in Canada for the Sienna) 2021 AWD Limited for 3 years almost to the day of this review. 40,000 miles (65,000 kms) in this time. IF you drive like you were taught (speed limit etc.) you can get the mileage I listed in the title 44MPG!. In the winter (southern ontario, canada) you drop 20-30% efficiency through winter gas and cold weather - can offset some of that plugging in a 1500 watt heater for faster windshield clearing. If your in southern state using AC I suspect it will cut into your mileage but you will not find a 7 seat vehicle that does better. I got out of full size 4x4 and don't miss it. More than capable in snow, I will be replacing my OEM tires Mid October. Comfort! I am very happy with the comfort, the kids love it no fighting and 3rd row down room for our 2 (100lbs+) dogs. Lots of space in truck with 3rd row up, folds 98% flat when down and sliding the second row seats ahead you can fit a sheet of plywood. Heated and cooled seats are pretty good. Lots of room and it looks good. Nothing better for a road trip, adaptive cruise and lane assist help make a bad location drive better, you don't mind stop and go traffic (as much). The things to improve - infotainment system is dated but functional, the 1200watt jbl premium is not top of class nor is the Toyota nav and that they want to charge you to have the phone connect options for live help. I use a wireless carplay adapter and wayz or apple/google maps. The only real improvements I would make is updated electronics (screen/graphics), and if more battery capacity is achievable this as a PHEV would be fantastic. 43 MPG in a vehicle with AWD weighing 4700# is incredible! I would not hesitate to recommend buying this vehicle to someone with intelligence, folks that don't understand technological wonders of efficiency should stick to the other vehicles. Nobody does hybrids like Toyota.
