4 cylinder turbo

This engine is an atkinson cycle turbo , a rare find, if you hit the gas hard it downshifts causing the engine to lug. it is in too low of a gear . that is not how you drive a turbo. Lightly give gas to get to gear 2 and then give it gas and it blows away the old six, which i just turned in . let the revs go to just below 1500 and turbo waste gate opens ( full air flow )and atkinson cycle engages and i can get 30 to 40 mpg easy ,especially beloe 40mph . Also at 65mph not 70 hit cruise control and an easy 35+ mpg once the revs drop to atkinson cycle. If you drive correctly and use atkinson cycle correctly you can get great gas mileage and power. I had to sell my new 2024 honda crv hybrid because it was the loudest road and tire noise of any suv i ever had , no insulation i checked.. you are driving a lexus basically and it has the same insulation as lexus check the under body. I dont need 20 inch bumpy wheels 18in with high aspect rubber is great ride. The trick is to use cruise control more often this drops engine off turbo and into atkinson cycle. I dont need 3rd row ,perfect car for me i have had 5 in a row every 3 years leased.

Cargo Too Small

John, 08/27/2023

After comparing the cargo space (3 rows of seats) to my current Grand Caravan (3 rows of seats), the space was too small. I decided to go for a Sienna, but the first dealer said 1-2 yrs to get a new one and the second said I had to sell my van in order to get one this year (4 months left). They gave me a lowball offer on my van so I would have had to wait more than six months to possibly get one. I bought a Pacifica.

Trickle Charge needed

Third time I went to go some place, car would not start. Dealer told me it is because I take such short drives...most places I go is within 5 to 8 min. Mechanic said with so much electronics, everytime I start the car, it takes 15 min of driving to recharge that into the battery. They say I need a trickle charger in my garage and to carry jump cables with me for when I am out of town for the weekend sight seeing, so making very short stops around a small town. !!!! I have a gas car, they said if I had a hybrid it would not make a difference, I ts that I drive so many short distances. Otherwise I like the Highlander very much, I gave it a low rating as I am a 70 yr old female, not wanting to jump start my car in the evening somewhere, wish I knew this or I would not hav purchased it

Toyota Highlander XSE

This vehicle's body integrity is horrible. It's cheaply made and falling apart. There are loud noises underneath, and they already have transmission issues. When I put in reverse of drive and mash gas, the car would not move. I have to reset it in the park, then in the drive or reverse for it to move.
