My third Highlander and I couldn’t be happier! Ride is soo comfortable, tech is easy to learn(well, maybe not so much Apple Play but that is probably more user error) and I feel super safe-solid for highway traffic yet easy to park and maneuver.

The turbo4 is almost as peppy as my older 6. I was surprised when it shut down at a stoplight and instantly started and took off when I accelerated through the green light. It handles comparable to my 2016 all wheel drive 6 cylinder

Great handling and plenty of features. But the engine is now a twin turbo instead of the 3.5 V6. It seemed to deliver the same performance, but I didn't want to deal with a turbo-charged engine Idown the road - or put 1up with a $9,000 mark-up from the dealer - so I bought a used 2020 Highlander instead. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. So far we've put about 15k more miles on it and it has been great, but it shares one problem with all Toyotas to dat: Toyota Entune. Entune is over complicated. The pages in the driver's readout are complicated too, as are some of the steering wheel controls for cruise. The driver and passenger seats don't move back very far, and that could be a problem for long-legged people. But, even with those downsides, it's a great car! I would definitely buy it again.

I went from the 2021 Venza Limited to the 2024 Highlander limited gas turbo. The gas turbo with the 8 speed transmission is much more enjoyable to drive than the Venza hybrid. Used primarily for light traffic city driving, the turbo has no noticeable lag and is quiet. Possibly, having the Limited accounts for it being so quiet. My typical daily drive is 3.5 miles. At morning start up, get 18 mpg, as the start up, then waiting for the screen to load, and backing out of my garage reduces mpg. Get 22 mpg on the return home. Got 24 mpg on a combo drive of 50% city and 50% rural road. The screen is much improved over the 2021 Venza screen.
Palisade and Telluride are so much better

This highlander hasnt had a refresh for 3 years. The front looks like a cheap subaru and the features for all you are paying for is much less than its Korean counterpart. I returned my highlander once i found out that the Palisade has massaging seats, three rows of heated seats, a remote control parking feature found only in 6 figure cars. I switched right away. The new Highlander is also so much louder with its 4 cylinder and with the turbo lag it is so much less smooth than its 6 cylinder 2022 model.
