Excellent Car, But Not Exciting. Long known as a sensible and practical midsize sedan, the Toyota Camry looks a little spiffier in 2025. I like that it is a hybrid only, looks nice, is comfortable, has lots of safety features and drives smoothly. It gets better than the expected gas mileage if I don't use the AC and don't go over the speed limit and am not in stop-and-go traffic. But here in the California desert it's hot in the summer and I have to often have the AC on, and that significantly affects the gas mileage. I got the Camry SE because it's a little sportier than the LE. I traded in my 2017 Camry SE, which I liked a lot, because I wanted a hybrid and wanted to beat the tariffs. The Camry isn't flashy. I would have preferred a Lexus, but didn't want to pay that much. I got a good deal on the Camry price, quite a bit under the MSRP, but should have gotten more on the trade of my relatively low mileage 2017 Camry. I would give each car a rating of 8 out of 10. My old Camry had slightly more trunk room and more room for rear seat passengers, but neither of those are that important for me. The car is also too low to the ground and thus not easy to get into. And the AC isn't quite strong enough here in the desert heat. Plus, the passenger side manual seat adjustment is crummy. A power passenger seat would have been good. I like saving money on gasoline, having a capable car, and one that can last for a long time and not require much maintenance. But it's not an exciting car by any means. It's a good family sedan, but my family is all grown and moved away. Maybe I should have gotten a sports car. Or a truck. I also have a 1998 Toyota Tacoma that I bought new and which has more than 457,000 miles on it. New Toyota trucks don't get good gas mileage and I found they weren't very comfortable and were difficult to climb up into at my old age with joint problems. I once wrote a poem about my old Tacoma not falling apart before I do. One of my daughters also has a 2025 Camry and likes it very much. I don't think you can go wrong with Toyota or Honda.

First let me start off with saying I’m a little biased, this is our 6th Camry, we’ve had 4 cylinder versions, one V6, and now a hybrid. Very impressive vehicle, front seats (especially drivers seat is a bit high for my liking, even at the lowest seating position). But overall very seamless transition between gas and electric, quick enough for highway maneuvers, tech galore, and finally a very stylish Camry. Having owned a 2023 Accord Hybrid Touring I thought the Accord was the leader of vehicle dynamics, the Camry isn’t far behind. While neither will set your world on fire; they are fun, comfortable, roomy, practical, and inexpensive to operate. Back in the Toyota family, loving our Lexus ES300H and our Camry!

I bought my Ocean Gem Camry LE in the middle of January with the Cold Weather and Convenience Packages. The heated seats and steering wheel was a warm welcome. Good decision. I got the Convenience Package for the power driver's seat and door locks. The HomeLink is a wasted feature since I don't have a garage. I was drawn to the 2025 Camry because of the standard Hybrid and numerous safety features. I am pleased with how it handles on the highway and side streets. It has enough power to get me going into the 70+ mph line of traffic. I am not fond of the "fabric" trim on the dash and door. Not sure how to clean it if it gets dirty. I like the fabric seat pattern. The info screen should be a standard 12 inch instead of 8 without paying extra. This would certainly help with using the touch screen without taking your eyes off the road for too long. I wish there was a choice to choose between a dial or digital car speed display. The gas mileage is 48 with mostly highway miles. So far I have driven 1,500 miles in almost 3 months. I do have a 2013 Camry (160,000 miles) I am satisfied with but as I've gotten older, the 2025 Camry will serve me better with all the safety features. I have had to use several so far which is good to have. Sure makes me a better driver as well. I am enjoying retirement, so this will probably be my last car to purchase due to the cost. With the packages, I got the car I wanted without the several thousand dollar investment with the upper trims.

Seats are more comfortable than I thought they would be. Power is very adequate for this style and price. Many of the other options (standard and upgrades) are worth the extra cost. The steering wheel could tilt and telescope a tad more for better arm/hand comfort on long trips. No fog lights on the XSE!

Bought it! I love everything about it. And it’s easy to drive no Blindspots, smooth , comfortable , has plenty of power. I love the look of it. It’s sporty.
