2025 Toyota Camry LE 4dr Sedan AWD (2.5L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid CVT)

I have a base LE model. The hybrid operation is excellent - great pickup in eco mode. Very nice new ocean gem color. Trunk lighting is nice and the truck is good size. Seat room front and back is good. The seats are comfortable if not quite as comfy as the 2025 Nissan Altima we rented in CA earlier this year. The ride is very smooth and more quiet than my 2018 Sonata was - and it was fairly quiet. The interior is a bit of a plastic affair but I like that the touch screen is more incorporated into the dash than it is on the higher end models where a larger screen sits up like a flat-screen TV. The rear window is not particularly large - not the best visibility and I rely on the side mirrors and blind spot warning beeps. I like the lane assist and look forward to a future self-driving model that will allow me to kick back and play my banjo as I cruise across country. I don't like that it has only a 13 gallon tank as I'm concerned I'll get something around 100 miles short of the old 1.6 turbo Sonata's 600 mile highway range. A 500 mile range is still purdy good - we'll see what it actually is when this first tank is through. The electronics are an improvement over what I had in the Hyundai in that I don't need to plug my phone in (via USB cable) or even open my phone to have Android Auto displaying on the screen. There's been a bit of a frustrating learning curve in the operation of the screen features and correspondence to my phone. I'm also not fully clear on the advantages of the Toyota phone app. Turning on the car in advance to getting into the car seems to be the big draw to the app for some folks - okaaay. I'll have to see if there are other plusses that will make the app worth the 80 clams they'll charge me after the first year. Overall, my initial impressions of the 2025 Camry LE are well into the positive.

2025 Toyota Camry XLE 4dr Sedan (2.5L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid CVT)

I had been shopping for months and decided on a Mid-sized vehicle instead of a SUV. After driving the Kia K5, Honda Accord, Hyundai Sonata and Toyota Camry and sifting thru the various recalls that all have had, I found the Camry Hybrids mostly trouble free. I only wanted a SE model with cold weather and convenience packages. At the time of purchase it was almost impossible to find...either with nothing or with everything. With most other options the SE was sometimes more expensive than a XLE model. The XLE has dual power leather heated seats and a leather wrapped heated Steering Wheel and the larger 12 in infotainment screen standard. It also has a optional panorama glass moon-roof. My dealership offered me the XLE model @ a large discount below sticker near 34k. I was sold. the K5 EX similar price but no hybrid..Honda Accord EX-L 2024 model also near similar priced but limited inventory and 2025's they wanted even more. Hyundai Sonata Hybrid came close but the wanted more for the Limited and no substantial discount. I am very surprised that the Camry was the bargain and the trim Edmunds recommended. Shortly after purchase I put the car on the Highway and drove a bit less than 1000 miles. The car got 42 mpg going about 83 mph..not bad since it not even broken in and driven in colder temps in the 30's and low 40's. I can't wait to see what it will do in the spring and summer months. Do you research, the closest other car on my radar was the Honda Civic Hybrid...In the Touring trim with the Hatchback it is about the same price of the Camry...similar in price/performance...discounts are few/far between for the Civic Hybrid. The Camry is Hard to beat! I am giving this high rating also because of the smooth ride/highway driving experience...the XLE model is very much a Lexus ES 300h in a more affordable pkg. Take a look those prices and drive one a you will understand. I don't think you will need the premium pkg, but if you want more of everything go ahead and indulge. Once discovered sadly prices may firm up. Shop Smart and be will to travel to find your deal..Im happy and hope you be also.

Too much technology lack of comfort

2025 Toyota Camry SE 4dr Sedan (2.5L 4cyl gas/electric hybrid CVT)

The seats are highly uncomfortable with the 'bump' at the bottom of the seat too short to sit on comfortably. AC does not work well because this automatic temperature control. Big screen for road connection that keep disconnecting and if you don't have a phone carplay you have to pay 20$ + taxes each month in Canada. You cannot press that screen to redial phone numbers wich is a huge downgrade. They removed a lot of storage space (glove box minuscule and hardly accessible). Very cheap summer carpet and the trunk lining very cheap and loose. Otherwise, nice looking and stable on the road, good sound proof.

Traded in my 15 year old Highlander. Best car I’d ever owned. This one exceeded my expectations in terms of ease of handling, safety features, mileage, and if its predecessor is any indication of reliability, the Camry will outlast its driver. Highly recommended.

40k is a lot of money to spend on a basic car, but that is the world we live in. That said, this one is an excellent value comparatively speaking. A spacious AWD hybrid that gets mid 40’s mpg…with plenty of amenities and legendary Toyota reliability. It was an easy decision.
