Excellent Car
Couldn't be more boring, at a stop light you could be surrounded by 3 more of the same color as yours. But who cares. Its the best car I have ever owned. Drove it for over 7 years and it never failed me once. Went through brakes frequently and OEM tires failed at 25k. Stereo was great. Everything always worked all the time. Never had a single repair only maintenance. It had 111k, miles when I sold it for 7k in 09. Wanted a Sienna. It was fine but I should have held onto the Camry. Got great gas mileage. 28 in the city. Its nice that it doesn't have a timing belt, only a chain so no need for that service. Will be hunting for one with side airbags next time.

Horrible engines Do not buy
I have owned over 15 used cars and I have never had an engine piston ring break and crankshaft seal crack. This car only had 139,000 mikes on it. Spent 3500 on this car that thought was going to be great for my son and now I have to junk it for 500. It’s truly unfair that this is happening a lot with these engines and Toyota is doing nothing about it.

204000 and going strong
I love this car. I bought it new in November 2001 and still have it. This was purchased in Wisconsin and I had no trouble with snow and ice. I have since moved to Florida. It has been a great vehicle. The only problem I have had are with the muffler; for some reason, it needs to be replaced every two to three years, something to do with the connection to the catalytic converter. I had the headliner replaced for $106.00 in 2009. The seats, door seals, carpet, and paint are still in pretty good shape considering the age. I've never had a more reliable car. Not looking forward to replacing it. 2017 Traded car in. I miss it, but they said the seals were going and a few other things. I do not like having to worry about a car. But I made it to 215,000 miles and they were great. I wish the new Camry's had as good service records but.....

2002 Camry - Great Car
I have an early production 2002 Camry. It is a great car, and exhibits the traditional reliability you expect from Toyota. This was the first year for this particular body style/chassis and the 2.4 VVIT engine. There were some minor early production mechanical problems experienced with the car including: manifold issues, belt tensioner issues, and leaking valve stem seals. These all occurred between 75,000 and 90,000 miles. I have since put another 80,000 (170,000) on the car and have had very few issues. Yes the car is boring and is has a soft suspension, but you will be hard pressed to find a car put together as well as this one. The driver-side leather seat is beginning to crack and t
