Loved the car at first, but beware!
I have 6000 miles on the car, which has developed many rattles and annoying clicks. I have been back to the dealer three times, and if one click or rattle is fixed, others appear. Very disappointing for Toyota. I have owned Toyotas my last six cars and was excited by the hybrid. The engine is smooth, but the car is a crate as far as body construction. Nearly everyone has a rattle in the console, the drink holder make noise if you have a drink in it. The big problem is everything is plastic and all connected by clips that don't really hold things in place. With no cloth or barriers to all the plastic on plastic, these annoying sounds appear everywhere. Wait for the next model

Smooth gas-sipper
I purchased a 2007 Camry Hybrid used in 2012 with 48,000 miles. The car was rear-ended and totaled last week. It had 218,000 miles by then. Car was the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. It got great gas mileage (35 mpg average). I would still be driving it towards 300,000 miles if it had not been wrecked. The only drawback was the tiny trunk due to the hybrid battery taking up space.

False Advertising
The sticker on the window advertized that the Hybrid would get 40 MPG city and 38 MPG highway. After checking many tankfuls of gas the best mileage I could get was between 22 and 24 MPG. This to me is totally unacceptable. I brought the car into 2 different dealers in North Miami and Hollywood for testing and they both told me there is nothing wrong with the car. Last week I drove to Gainesville where the car was purchased, to have them tell me the same thing. Nothing was accomplished except I put 660 miles on the car and I am still very FRUSTRATED. I didn't buy a hybrid to get 22 MPG. When I should be getting at least 40MPG promised by all the advertising and hype about hybrids.
Poor Mileage
I love my Camry Hybrid, however, I only get around 23 mpg in stop and go situations in the summer. I get about 27 mpg in city driving in the winter. I figure some of it is due to A/C use as I live in the desert, but it seems like everyone gets mpg in the 30s in city driving. I get 39-40 on the highway. I don't have a heavy foot either. I'm 72 years old.
