We love our BZ4X
Our BZ4X Limited FWD has one pedal driving aka Regenerative Braking. Not sure why this Edmonds review says it doesn’t. Anyway… We love the car. We drive it from Los Angeles to Lake Arrowhead and back with me, wife, two kids, a dog and a heavy load of luggage and large toolbox, on a full charge and return with 10% left. I installed a 240v charger at my house and it charges fast. Everything feels high quality. The JBL sound system sounds great. The lighting is fantastic. I personally love the futuristic looks. The sky roof is awesome. Feels like I’m driving a car from Robotech. This is my first EV. We didn’t want a Tesla… OH and it’s an easy car to wash and vacuum as well. An R2D2 thumbs up from me.

Not a road trip EV
The good.... it handles very well, better acceleration than most gas powered cars. Its reasonably quiet. I'm a toyota guy so the interior and electronics were a lot alike. The not so good... Charging at home, I get close to 7kW consistently. Fast charging, it seems Toyota has limited to 30kW so a full charge can take hours and hours. Range is the disappointment. I have the AWD Limited version and get 2.6-2.6 M/kWh or 160-170 miles range through the summer. I mostly do highway driving and have never been above 3 M/kWh. The other nit is lack of charge planning in the car itself. Finding a charger requires a phone or pad. I'm a bit concerned about what my winter range will be. I've got a 55 mile one way commute each day. Should still be ok unless its in the teens out. But still, I was expecting about twice the milage/range.

electric car
I have been driving this car for a month and I am very satisfied with it, of course, I have only used it in the city and I have not tried it outside the city yet, but even though I have tried the Tesla car several times, I I am very happy and satisfied with buying this car. Very soft and comfortable car with many features.

Enjoyed Until Winter Hit the Range
The stylish exterior more pleasing than the dull Tesla appearance; and, the range certainly could benefit from the hyped numbers Tesla used for bringing in value. And, all has been reasonable until the available range kept dropping down a couple of miles after each L1 charge during cold weather. Still an excellent choice as my daughter’s daily commute and “dad” takes care of all the details. EV mindset adjustment is necessary in today’s world and Toyota quality is present, as expected, and a 10-year battery warranty is definitely a plus. All the Tesla models offer are a moving value point due to arbitrary price adjustments from the manufacturer lead; and, since 3 of those models are in top 10 categories for issues, much prefer to be inside the Toyota.

Bz4x
SUV was quick off the line, and fun to drive. Other evs that go from 0-60 in 3-4 seconds are not practical and burn tires and wear components. Where do you need that type of acceleration in day to day driving and where do you go to do that except to the race track. The car is quiet, smooth, and home charging is great. Toyota is reliable and so far I would recommend this car To anyone. At least test drive it, you’ll see for yourself, and save a lot of money.
