Toyota can do better with their most luxury sedan

Pro's. Comfortable and easy to drive, lots of creature comfort and safety features. Con's. Toyota engineers dropped the ball when they only put two cup/bottle holders in the front seat, and two in the back. The middle of the road Toyota Camry has 10 as do many other cars. There are no door pockets for water bottles. Heated steering wheel option would have been nice, as would a fold down rear seat. Con #2. the front end is so low it drags on nearly every driveway or parking block. This is not uncommon and many sedans are the same way. Problem with the Avalon is when you bugger up the bottom of the front end on driveways and parking blocks, to replace it, it's the entire front end of the car that is one piece and it all has to be replaced at one time. The car sits too low. It does not need to be that low to the ground. I will not consider another Avalon as long as both these are in play. Updated 12-2019. I understand Toyota Avalon will offer an AWD option in 2021. I'm waiting to see what that is like. Hoping it sits a little higher off the ground and I understand one of the beef's I have, that being not enough cup/bottle holders has been fixed. So I might consider the AWD model if it sits a little higher if it is offered in a hybrid version.

Great buy on a great car

Bought as "used", with 77 miles on odometer. Carfax shows that this car had been at a Toyota dealer for 13 months before being sold at auction to another Toyota dealer, this one near me. Car had balance of factory warranty, 33 of the original 36 months.
