I had 2008 Limited V8,4WD sold and bought 2010 Trail with all the options. First, the seats are like bench seats of churches, so hard. Only a few minutes ride, even my friends complained how hard and uncomfortable they were. I bought many cushions to relieve the hardness, but no solutions. I tried to voice out this problem both to dealership and Toyota HQ. After 3 months, customer service of Toyota wrote to me that could not do anything and sorry for dissatisfaction in advance. No wonder Toyota is losing faithful customers like us. We bought 5 Toyotas including Lexus LX470, all new. I will not buy another Toyota ever again. The new V6 is no match for previous V8, with no MPG advantage.

After 110k the 4 runner started to fall apart. Both front struts were leaking .the sunroof stopped working. Rust starting by rear toyota badge and trailer hitch that was never used. The radio will stop working at different times for no apparent reason, the muffler baffle had broken loose inside muffler ,when i purchased 4runner a surfer smell came into cab when accelerated idk if that was a sign there was a issue... Key fob stopped working... After owning 5 toyota's this is honestly the worst. In the beginning i loved it currently i don't want to drive it.

This is my first Foriegn car ever and it is truly amazing. Hate to admit it but it just goes woithout any issues

This is my third 4Runner 1996, 2004 and 2010. I think that as time goes by Toyota is not living up to the quality that I am used too. By far the 1996 was the best vehicle. I do not like the doors unlocking on the 2010 as soon as the car is in park. I drive by myself long distance and I hate the fact that the doors automatically open. Also not happy about the running boards. I am 5'2" for crying out loud it is a challenge to get into the vehicle. I won't put anything on the truck unless it is a certified Toyota part. Interior has its problems the head rest doesn't lock into place and that becomes annoying. Oh yeah one more thing the horn on the 2010 is like a horn that belongs on Tercel.

Traded my '04 for the 2010 in December. I live in the country with lots of blowing drifting snow so I knew it would be another 4 Runner for me. Love the styling and going with the full leather package was a wonderful upgrade for me. I have found nothing lacking in comfort and styling in this model. I was very disappointed that running boards were not standard as they were in previous 4 Runners, had to have my dealer retrofit them as I was having difficulty getting in and it was expensive. Also all weather floor mats should have been available! Preferred the tailgate assist too. Don't think it has as much pick up as my 04 until you hit the passing gear!! Overall satisfied with purchase!
