Used 2005 Scion xB 4dr Wagon (1.5L 4cyl 4A) Consumer Reviews
It's CUTE.
It looks like it wants to be a Peterbilt when it grows up. Or maybe a hearse. But it's comfortable, easy to drive, parks anywhere, and I can get my 6'2" son and two friends in the backseat. Consistently gets 30+mpg ... city, highway, stuck on the expressway...whatever.
Love It

Roomy with a View
I look for fuel economy and roominess when I buy a car. My Scion delivered both. It has been 18 years since I have purchased a new car and I looked extensively at all options before I bought my Scion XB. I am an ecologically-minded, 50-something teacher at a Catholic school so the 30+ mpg that my Scion gets allows me to sleep easily at night. I also do catering, so the fold-down rear seats allow me to transport lots of food! I was worried about upstate NY's snowfall being a challenge, but my Scion fitted with Toyo snow tires charged through on even the worst days! The sound system is GREAT! Please make future models with greater adjustability of the driver's seat and non-chip-able paint.
Scion xB Review
Love it or hate it exterior design; incredibly roomy interior for passengers; lots of technology for the price; short length on the outside makes it very easy to park; rather stiff, harsh, and bouncy ride; short on interior storage spaces for small items; fun to drive with sporty feel and very good visibility; lacks side curtain airbags; excellent gas mileage; easy for passengers to enter and exit vehicle. I want to see it with side curtain airbags and a hybrid engine in the next couple of years, then I'll trade my 2005 for a new one. As it stands, very good value for the money.
