Best Kept Secret in Affordable Cars
Toyota did a great job designing this car. For the price it is simply hard to beat. It is simple, versatile, economical and does not feel in any way cheap. It's $20,000 worth of car for $14,000.

Best Deal for the Price
I did a lot of research on all the new sub-compact cars on the market and found the Scion xA to be the best for the price. I especially like the fixed pricing where you don't have to deal with sales price haggling. I got the extended warranty that covers me for 7 years or 100,000 miles for an extra $1,100. This car really zips around town. I find no problems with the limited horsepower. It would be nice to have a larger fifth gear for the freeway maybe to push it over 40 mpg. The middle console was no problem getting used to. I think there is plenty of cargo room with the seats down. I was also able to get a lot of stuff (tools, jumper cables, blanket, towels) in the spare tire well. This car an A+.
Scion xA
I am really pleased with the gas mileage, leg room, and power this little but very comfortable vehicle has. It has a very modern design and you can't beat the price.
Scion xA - The 4 door hatch to buy
This car is an excellent value with style and comfort. We chose it over the Honda Fit and other 4 door hatch models. There has been too much criticism about the lack of power and ride comfort. While a few more HP would be welcome, this car's performance is well beyond adequate with a ride we believe to be comfortable. If considering one, take it for a ride rater than relying on what we believe was a lazy review by Consumer Reports. CR seemed to mail in a review of a 2004 model.
