A beautiful vehicle.
I am a nut for nice looking clean cars. I have never been asked so many times what kind of car I am driving and how beautiful it is. My tC's perfprmance is excellent. It has lots of room inside (I am 6 foot 4 inches). I think it is a great car for the money.
2005 Scion Tc 5 Speed
Amazing car when you consider the price. It's pretty quick, has a very solid ride, handles good, and looks good. I just have a couple of complaints about minor details. The leather shift boot tore the 1st day I had the car, the radio cover is hard to open, roof rattles, and now something is squeaking. Dealer fixed shift boot, said radio cover is supposed to be like that and couldn't find source of roof rattle.

Awesome Car, two notes
I've had my tC since November and have racked up the miles. It's performed wonderfully, was a huge bargain, and continues to delight. Two notes: some folks complain about the "cheap" sunroof shades. Hello! They're retractable/roll-up fabric b/c you're getting TWO sunroofs! Also, some say the exterior resembles a Tiburon crossed with a BMW. I urge folks to compare the rear profile of the tC with that of it's predecessor, the celica. It's similar, at least to my eyes, though beefier!
Best Value
Started looking for a good gas mileage car (I drive 23k a year) but decided on the Scion. Looked at Elanta (didn't like dash) Corolla S (small hard plastic armrest and dash seem old fashioned) and Mazda 3 (too high price). While at Toyota dealership test drove the tC and couldn't resist getting it. It just ran great and had such a solid/quality feel to it. What I really liked was there were no options I had to buy. It already had 4wheel disc brakes, ABS, sunroof, cruise control and alloy wheels. Got 27mpg with first tank and 29 with second one. Overall, you just can't beat the value and quality and to me it was worth the extra $7 a week for gas.
Fun Little car
Performance: Coming from a 5.0 mustang gives me a bit more perspective than some of the kids moving up from their Civic to this car. It isn't particularly fast, but it is quick, and handles well, is comfortable and the stereo system rocks Gearing/Tranny: I think they did a great job with matching the gearing to the engine. Even in 5th gear, you can pass on the highway, which makes highway driving much more tolerable. First is really short, but thats not a bad thing. Interior: This car is really comfortable and seems much bigger on the inside than it looks like it should from the outside. The seats are firm and supportive, and the driving controls are well placed.
