best car for the dollar

This is by far the most fun car I've ever driven. The 160hp is more than ample power to handle everyday driving, not to mention beating Civics off the line. The center console is beautifully designed and well crafted without any dials that clash with the rest of the car, which is also with high quality materials. And with a laundry list of options, and aftermarket tuner parts by TRD and AEM, the fun with this car never stops. My only complaints are the blindspot in the driver side rear window and the gearshift. The shifter is loose. At a quick glance, first gear can look like third gear. A sinxth gear would be nice too. The engine revs a bit high travelling at highway speed.

I bought this car new in 2004 and still think it's great! I have taken six trips to Tennessee in it 540 miles one way and always get 30 miles per gallon doing 75-80 mph. I have yet to drive it in the winter though. I really like the looks of the car, the only complaint, is that when I first drive it sometimes the sunroof rattles, oh and I traded my new Honda Civic EX for it, now that was a really slow car. You can't get a better car for the money than the TC.

Bought this car as a rollover with 700 miles, fixed it up, now has 55,000. Great car, very fun to drive especially cuz its standard, sound system is pretty good. Very happy with it, has never broken down... Its also very hard to get stuck, its amazing how rough of terrain you can drive it over with it being so low to the ground. I have also managed over 34 mpg out of it. A's across the board for this one, another great car from Toyota.

Amazing car when you consider the price. It's pretty quick, has a very solid ride, handles good, and looks good. I just have a couple of complaints about minor details. The leather shift boot tore the 1st day I had the car, the radio cover is hard to open, roof rattles, and now something is squeaking. Dealer fixed shift boot, said radio cover is supposed to be like that and couldn't find source of roof rattle.

Awesome Car, two notes

I've had my tC since November and have racked up the miles. It's performed wonderfully, was a huge bargain, and continues to delight. Two notes: some folks complain about the "cheap" sunroof shades. Hello! They're retractable/roll-up fabric b/c you're getting TWO sunroofs! Also, some say the exterior resembles a Tiburon crossed with a BMW. I urge folks to compare the rear profile of the tC with that of it's predecessor, the celica. It's similar, at least to my eyes, though beefier!
