I really did not want this car, but my husband like the safety features - he felt we got more for our money compared to other models we looked. The car has not had any mechanical problems & is fun to drive but the seats are very very uncomfortable & my 6'2' son does not fit in the back seat very well. After traveling I am stiff & sore. I never felt that way in the Intreped I owned before this one. The worst thing is that we tried to trade it for a larger & more comfortable car & found out how much it has depreciated in 1 year -$10,000. My advice is not to get a Saturn if you want a comfortable car to travel in.

The Saturn L300 is a great car and handles well. The dealership does excellent maintenance work. My only issue is that when the front seats are adjusted to a comfortable position for driving, there is absolutely no foot room in the back seat. Having a 15 year old son that is as tall as I am, and a shoe size of 12, he has to be careful getting in and out. His feet are way under the front seat.

The styling is great. The handling and peformance is excettent, i was surprised about the response i got when i pinned it top the floor, it has good mid-rpm power and great around the town. It is a bit small in the back though. Don't think about putting 3 passengers back there.Overall ,a great choice

Lots of Promise; Disappointing Car

At 75,000mi the car needed a new water pump, shorted the turn signal (w/ smoke), bad break cable, and an outrageous price tag to fix it all ($1800). I should have learned this with my first 99 Saturn after the dealer tried to stick me with a $4500 for a cracked head at 30K mi. Love the Saturn brand. I was encouraged by friends to give Saturn another go, but I will never buy another Saturn again -- not just for a lack of reliability, but for the ridiculous customer service costs.

I am very surprised at this new Saturn that I took delivery on less than two weeks ago. Took it immediately to northern Georgia and into NC. I previously had a Buick Regal GSE (2000) and this car seems bigger and loaded with more creature comforts. Got a great deal with the dealer, especially with the incentives that they were offerring.
