When the time came to replace our Saab 9-3, my wife and I did some car shopping. After stopping at the Saturn dealership, we both agreed there was no need to look any further. We test drove both the XE and XR versions. In the end, we just couldn't pass up the OHC V6 & 6 spd automatic in the XR. Wow! What a car. Definitely not what has become known as the "typical" GM car. It drives smooth and handles very well while still absorbing bumps. The engine provides ample power and the transmission, while occasionally slow to respond, shifts smoothly. My wife loves the remote start feature. This car should be on every midsize car buyers shopping list. It's definitely worth a look.

On the way to buying an Audi, I was waylaid by the Aura and I love it. I have always bought Euro cars and I did again. The Aura is a German car made in our own USA. It has distinctive and classy looks. The performance of the XR is both very sporty and luxurious. It is very comfortable and the build and design quality are world class. It was also priced very very competively. This is a very compelling offer from GM that undoubtedly will capture new owners.

My wife and I were on our way to the Honda dealer when we made a turn into the Saturn dealership. My wife and I saw the Aura XR in Silver Pearl and the Honda dealer never saw us again. We get compliments from complete strangers and they can't believe it's a Saturn. Some drivers even stare at our Aura while on the road, but we prefer they keep their eyes on the road.

I had my Aura XR for 2 weeks when some engine noise came up. The dealership could not figure out what it was for 2 weeks. It had 2k miles on it so exchanging it wasn't an option. Seeing as how I had it half the time and dealership couldn't fix it, I expected they would replace it for me. They chose to claim the rules were inflexible and offered instead to replace my engine. I'm not sure how I feel about this but I have no choice because if I wait for them to figure out how to fix this engine I may not get it back for weeks. In any case I really do love the car, they tell me no one else has had this problem and the car is so new they don't have any practical experience on this engine.

Steering wheel problems, were scheduled to be fixed the third time,..decided on trading the car in,...took a beating. To much plastic in the interior of the car, have to be really careful, with kids, regarding the scratches.Trans., was starting to slip, dealership at Chevy told us try not to accelerate, after stopping, press on the accelerator slowly, to avoid this problem.
