There aren't any significant updates for 2021. But as is typically the case, the luxury automaker has created some one-off models and a limited-production series. One-off models include the Koa Phantom, which incorporates Koa wood, a rare tree species only found on the Hawaiian islands, and the Phantom Oribe, a Phantom designed in collaboration with Hermès. The Phantom Tempus Collection is limited to 20 examples and has a design that Rolls-Royce was inspired by "time, astronomical phenomena and the infinite reaches of the universe." So, yeah, try to top that.
A few other automakers do try. The Bentley Flying Spur is the Phantom's closest rival, and it offers similar levels of comfort, luxury and customization. Another is the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, although it's not as exclusive as the Phantom. There's appeal to all three cars, but there's no debating that the Phantom is one of the most extravagant production vehicles in the world.
2021 Rolls-Royce Phantom trim level differences
The 2021 Rolls-Royce Phantom is offered in two variants: the standard Phantom and the extended wheelbase (EWB). Both are powered by a turbocharged 6.75-liter V12 engine (563 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque). An eight-speed transmission sends power to the rear wheels. Compare the 2021 Rolls-Royce Phantom trim levels in-depth.
Which Phantom trim does Edmunds recommend?
The Rolls-Royce Phantom isn't like most vehicles and doesn't come in different trim levels. Instead, it's offered in standard and extended-wheelbase (EWB) lengths. Considering that the Phantom costs about half a million, why not opt for the utmost comfort with the EWB model? It offers a significant increase in rear seat legroom, the part of the cabin where most owners will be sitting. For additional privacy, add the optional rear compartment curtains, and for more tech, get the Driver Assistance package, which adds adaptive cruise control.

Recalls
2 recalls foundChecking if a car has a recall is simple. Just type the car's VIN number into the NHTSA website (https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls). If there's an unrepaired recall, you'll see it there.
If a recall shows up, just call your local car dealer. They'll know about the recall and will work with the car maker to fix it for free (if the recall happened within 10 years of the car being first sold).
- Recall Number:
- 21V855000
- Number of vehicles affected:
- 442
- Defect Description:
- Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Ltd. (Rolls-Royce) is recalling certain 2019-2022 Rolls-Royce Phantom vehicles. The Central Information Display may not raise to the correct position, resulting in a rearview camera image that is partially blocked from view.
- Defect Consequence:
- A partially blocked rearview camera image reduces the driver's rear view, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
- Corrective Action:
- Dealers will update the software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 28, 2021. Owners may contact Rolls Royce customer service at 1-877-877-3735.

2019 Rolls-Royce Phantom 4dr Sedan (6.7L 12cyl Turbo 8A)
I have had a 2019 phantom since the beginning of April and the car has been in the shop at least 3 times because of vibrations coming from the wheels and tires. The last time it was in the shop for 3 weeks! Other than that I really like the car. I think that the customer service of rolls royce is not that great.
This car is amazing

2019 Rolls-Royce Phantom EWB 4dr Sedan (6.7L 12cyl Turbo 8A)
I have owned this car for a few months and I have loved every moment in it. It looks absolutely amazing and I love it so much. The performance is what you would expect from a 5,000 pound car.
