Carrera T is AMAZING

jdr, 12/27/2022
2018 Porsche 911 Carrera T 2dr Coupe (3.0L 6cyl Turbo 7M)
1 of 1 people found this review helpful

If you set aside "bragging rights" the T is one of the best 911 models ever made. It truly lets you drive and enjoy the car. Can't help but dreaming about the next time I drive it, and remembering the joy from the last time without the "worry" of driving too hard, or a rock chipping my front end, etc. Just hop in, drive, and enjoy the driving experience. A lot of people may look down at a "base 911," but that is such a foolish statement. It's a low $100,000 base vehicle, and with a nice drivers spec you're looking at $140,000. Imagine a world where people can "look down" at your choice of a $140,000 T because it's not a GT3. :-) what a crazy world. Yes, this car is epic, and will most likely be the last narrow body 911 ever made. Thank you Porsche for bringing back the T.

Amazingly Practical Sportscar

2019 Porsche 911 Carrera T 2dr Coupe (3.0L 6cyl Turbo 7M)

Pros: Excellent handling, fun to drive fast or slow, capable of >30mpg (if you know how), 7S manual trans., very good visibility, classic good looks, excellent accommodations for driver's from 5 ft. 4 in. to 6 ft. 5 in. Cons Windows freeze up too easily in freezing weather, occasional false negative engine fault warnings and other PCM errors (may be due to the battery voltage), significant battery drain whenever the car is not running. I have a 2019 Carrera T and it is a serious sportscar. Why people at Porsche AG think it needs an upshift indicator on the dash I have no idea. Easy enough to ignore, of course! After 5 2/3 years of ownership, I sold this 911. Another plus: high resale value!

These are really good cars. Fast, good looking, quality build UPDATE: I have the Carrera 4 GTS, added a small whale tai land a stage 1 cobb tune. It is great to drive and gets on down the road real quick. Handling and braking are just right Still loving it

Extraordinary supercar achievement

My car is blindingly fast, has unbeatable handling and braking and the build quality is spectacular. The reliability factor of Porsches is unequalled and the result of superior engineering. The car is light and nimble, sure footed and takes curves like it is on tracks. And by the way, the car is luxurious and a pleasure to drive. Strangers “high five” the car as I drive by and I’ve had so many people stop to compliment the special Carmine Red color. The Burmeister sound system is stunning and far superior to even the best Bose system.

Its a Porsche...nothing more

2019 Turbo S. Handles beautifully, precise and dependable.... problem is it inspires no emotion whatsoever...and that's what make it great and not so great. after all sometimes ones greatest strengths are it greatest weaknesses. if you want a mind bending supercar experience an intense performance look elsewhere but if you want a spouse that cooks everynight, doesn't cheat and and is moderately attractive sometimes buy one.

Bad Experience

Sorry wanted to like this car. Nothing but trouble with the PDK. Dealer tried everything and eventually replaced. However many of the same issues returned. Lunging and clunking through the gears. Also car is a very tight fit for tall people making the manual 7 speed difficult as well. As a long tie owner of P cars, I am also hoping for a different look. This design has lost its appeal over the decades.

Really wanted to like this car. But the PDK transmission made it a horrible experience. Was also very tight for my 6 foot body. I weigh 190 pounds.
