2005 Maxima
Really luxurious for a 13 year old car as it has leather interior, heated seats and steering, a sunroof, and Bose speakers. It has many problems with acceleration and the A/C. It’s burns through oil. Over all I would say the car has held up pretty well.

Could be better
The car is sexy and fun to drive.I had a Altima before for about 10yr. Needless to say i was a lot younger and crazier. I figured if after 180,000 mil the car was still kicking strong with all those doughnuts and corner to corner races, i'd stick with Nissan. I'm a lot older and wiser now so no more doughnuts. I like the acceleration on the car , the second glances one get's from people when passing by or just standing still. The alloy wheels and tires holds well when corning. Over all i feel good about the car for the money i spent. However if when i'm ready for another car if certain things aren't changed i think i'd go to toyota (lexus)

Bad transmission
I am the original owner. The repairs i have had to make ate all expensive. The transmission died out at 100 k and even after a rebuild it has never been the same. Plus, do not but this car if you have to drive in snow. The engine has a lot of torque and you have the Manu matic transmission. Can't get good traction on slippery surfaces.

Our Maxima
We are in the Real Estate business with the most plastic individuals around. They all drive $70,000 vehicles and above. I have driven in and driven Mercedes, BMW and Lexus and I have to say I like our car more. The Maxima is more comfortable and handles as well and we bought it in December and I still am not tired of the look. The cabin is so comfortable even when I am the passenger and even better behind the wheel.
don't buy a book for it's cover
We kept our Maxima in a garage when not in use. During bad weather rain, snow or slush we used our Mazda. Change all the fluids under Nissan recommendations per our service garage whom we trust. He mentioned the transmission issues before we purchased and stated clearly Nissan transmissions Stink. But we loved the Maxima inside and out, don't buy a book for its cover. The trans almost put us thru the windshield during a shift, too bad for Nissan, buy junk get junk. Now we have a Toyota and it works super...
