I loved loved my juke until around 100k miles. The timing chain broke ( mine was not on the recall list.) While replacing my engine they found a crack in my turbo. Nissan said this was a common problem for this car.

I'm very happy with my Juke. Yes, it's small and has limited cargo space. Well, I wanted a small car and the cargo space for what I haul has never been too small. The performance is fine. My mileage is lower than some report, but I don't drive for economy. Yes, the road-handling is very good for this type of vehicle. Sold Juke, now own a Hyundai Kona that I like and is more modern

I wanted to love this car so bad

I bought my Juke used about 8 months ago and was incredibly excited. I loved its unique look and after reading up on it, it seemed to be a pretty reliable car all around. Boy was I disappointed 8 months later. 1st major issue, not even 2 weeks after driving it off the lot it started stalling- turned out to be a radiator issue. No big deal, the dealership was helpful in getting it taken care of and it continued to drive fine afterwards. Now after fixing the radiator I noticed a slight rattle on the highway. I didn't think much of it but it continued to worsen for a good few months before I decided I needed to get it checked out- turns out the axles had rapidly deteriorated and needed to be replaced. A hefty $1000 replacement later, its driving smoothly again. Not even a month later the service engine light comes on. I had the code read this morning and it turns out there is some problem that could range from as simple as a loose wire to a transmission issue that I won't be able to get checked out until Monday (It's new years eve as I write this). Again, I so wanted to love this car. I'm not sure if I just bought a dud or if the Juke is just not made to withstand my frequency of driving. My recommendation: buy at your own risk. It's a cute car, without a doubt, but if you drive frequently, you might just find yourself making monthly payments via maintenance even if you paid in cash.

2013 Juke full of sludge/metal in oil pan

Took 2013 Juke, purchased new, with 42,000 miles to Courtesy Nissan in Richardson, TX in September 2015 because the engine light came on and experienced diminished performance. The dealership examined the car and reported the oil pan was full of sludge and metal. Upon initial findings the dealership claimed the factory warranty and extended warranty were in effect. Later the dealership wanted a signed statement that I would cover costs of the engine tear down ($3,000 ) if further examination determined that a factory defect not was the cause of the sludge build up. I would then need to replace the engine at a cost of $12,000 plus. The dealership did not report of an sludge or metal when I had the oil changed 5 months earlier. The car has been maintained with regular oil changes. No sensor alerted me of a low oil condition until the engine light came on in September. It is disappointing that a 2 year old car with only 42,000 miles doesn't live up to the Nissan reputation. Thought I was purchasing a quality car.

The design got my attention right at the first time. specs are impressive real value for a sporty yet powerful small suv/crossover. i liked it in all ways. great new look, great horsepower, great gas mileage and low price what else can i bargain. Power always matters in a city environment when you are trying to merge into the road after getting out of a supermarket/mall , while hesitating at a color changing signal light :). Not every one like its looks but i feel being unique is always something which matters.
