Used 2005 Nissan Altima Consumer Reviews
Performance meets Daily Driver
I was looking for a car with a good kick. Looked at both 2.5 and 3.5. Just do yourself the favor and get the 3.5. Smooth ride and it itches for you to floor it. After 8000 miles, no major problems. Easliy does the daily commute and equally able to handle a good run out on country roads. Being 6'5" its one of the biggest interiors avaiable in a sedan. It easily holds my 6'2" brother behind my seat. For those with a racing side, this car can be easily modified to get more speed and handling for this car.
powerful 2.5!
When we bought this car I underestimated the power to speed ratio. Once I really got to know the car I realized its pretty fast. You notice when you start to go faster the engine has a loud roar to it. Its not quite. Esp are 40 an d above. People will know your coming. Steering is pretty lose. Handles exceptionally well. Hugs corners fine. Responsive time are perfection on a bad day. If this is a 2.5 w 175 hp I wish I had the 260 3.5.

Finally got the grown up car
As soon as I got in the car it felt right for me. First of all it is roomy and it looks real nice with the black leather and sunroof. I traded in my Honda Civic. I was surprized at the price of this car. My payments are about the same as the Honda was, only a much better car. When I need power I have it. Just love the way it drives. It is also quiet. And looks great in the driveway. Ps: if you want better milage, try to keep the tack @ 2500 rpm's or less. I was able to get 30.5 mpg in this manner.
Good Car, Needs some Care
Bought the car from route22 nissan. nice car for a good deal and everything was smooth until I found out the AC is not blowing cold air. Called up service and they said its air conditioner and not air cooler and will only go 30 degrees of whats it outside.if its 90 outside inside will cool to 60 but I dont know if the AC has sensors as it turns off by itself and blows air and again it starts blowing cold air.The car is excellent other than AC.
Great car
I bought my Altima two years ago and it has always delivered an excellent driving experience. You wouldn't think that a big four-cylinder car would be fun to drive, but the Altima's peppy performance and good handling make it a good time to drive. Its size and trunk space add versatility. It's also a great looking car, very aggressive and sporty looking with the 16'' alloy wheels. It is also very reliable, I have never had any major problems with the car. The only downside is that the fuel economy leaves a LOT to be desired (see my comments below).
