Having owned this pre-owned Altima for several months now, I can safely say that I'm glad I bought this car. More power, room and economy than my previous car. The car looks great inside and out. No mechanical issues except a fuel-starved engine from parking on an incline (hard start afterwards). Luxury touches like auto windows, trip 'puter and power seat are nice. Overall, no mechanical issues. Some of the coloring/dye in plastic has worn through and leather on steering wheel too. "Wood" trim scratches easily. Nothing deal-breaking: no trim falling off, no significant squeaks or rattles. Fuel econ: 24 city/32 hwy -- 20 gal tank

It has all the bells and whistles- ABS,6 in dash CD changer, moon roof, etc. This is the 3rd Nissan we own. After only owning the car for about 6 months, the car would not start because of vapor lock because it was cold outside. The climate/heat system keeps the front window foggy if the A/C is not on. The front defroster takes a too long to work. If you are stopped at a light and you have the heat on, the air starts blowing cold until you start moving again. The moon roof only has one button to open/close it and it is very cumbersome to close it. When I've had problems with the car and brought it in for service the dealership can never replicate the problem and is generally unhelpful.

This car is an extraordinary pleasure and alot of fun to drive. Zero to 60 in 6 seconds should be 4 seconds---it moves. It is comfortable and I feel very safe in this car. Unless something changes I will continue to buy the Altima. PS: My husband perfers my Altima over his V6 Camry.

I bought my 2005 Nissan altima last month for only $4500 from a private owner.... It had 157,000 miles on the odometer, but it still has a value of $10,000-its a 2.5sl with all the extras.. It has a Bose sound system, spoiler, leather, heated seats, sunroof... The whole package and I love it, its very powerful and the air and heat works perfect, I would definitely recommend someone to purchase a altima

Performance meets Daily Driver

I was looking for a car with a good kick. Looked at both 2.5 and 3.5. Just do yourself the favor and get the 3.5. Smooth ride and it itches for you to floor it. After 8000 miles, no major problems. Easliy does the daily commute and equally able to handle a good run out on country roads. Being 6'5" its one of the biggest interiors avaiable in a sedan. It easily holds my 6'2" brother behind my seat. For those with a racing side, this car can be easily modified to get more speed and handling for this car.
