2024 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 Consumer Reviews

It's cute but it could be better...
This is a very cute little car but is kind of disappointing. Other cars in this class get better gas mileage and better acceleration. This car takes a while to accelerate but once it gets going, it does well especially on the highway. The motor is louder than it should be and I've only had the car for 1 month and the brakes squeak sometimes when I stop. This should not happen on a brand new 2020 vehicle. The gas mileage is okay but again could be better. I'm disappointed in Mitsubishi, this little car could be more like a Fit or a Versa. I'm rebuilding my credit, so I'll keep this car for at least a year but I'll probably wind up trading it in.
moneysaver and stylish
no fold down rear seats,,awesome ride. Good on gas, comfortable and plenty fast and quick on the highway.

Why it’s Not Five Stars…
I purchased a 2020 G4 as a kid. I needed a car. Almost 6 years later, and almost everything on this car is the original part, except for the tires. Easy DIY oil change. Reliable. A daily 30+ mile commuter vehicle saving me hundreds to thousands in repairs and gas even as the value depreciates. It has stood the test of time. The obvious flaw is that it’s slow and small. But it got the basics of a good car down. Safety, reliability, gas mileage, and feels easy to drive. One last major pro, is that nobody is trying to steal one of these cars. It’ll be there in the morning. If you just need somewhere to start, this car will get you there, no questions asked.

Great for first time purchase, not for comfort
As a young adult buying my first brand new car, I was attracted to this car solely for its price tag. It's super affordable, both in terms of buying brand new and in gas savings, but definitely nothing special. For a tiny 3 cylinder engine, it accelerates pretty well. For being so light, it definitely doesn't get blown around quite as much as the comparable hatchbacks. However, the interior is very cheap and far from stylish. Lots of space between the seats, and the center console is in a very awkward place and might as well be nonexistent. The touch screen radio isn't very bright, so it is difficult to see even when turned up all the way during the day. Eco boost kicks on at the most random times and makes the car feel as though acceleration is slipping. A decent purchase for first time new car owners, but probably not the best investment if you're looking for a car you'll love driving for many, many years.

Love my '24 Mirage LE!
Granted that I only have 1600 miles on it so far but i am absolutely loving it. I have a company vehicle and a '17 Tucson Limited in our fleet as well as a '17 Fusion Tit and we bought the G4 as a backup/local trip vehicle but I have wound up driving it in place of the company car almost every day. It isn't a 0-60 sled but the AC kicks, the around town dynamics is excellent and its fun even filling up at the gas pump as you aren't there very often. Doug Demuro (YouTube) sharted on this little car a few years ago but the recent restyle made it a better looking little car. For a little money out of pocket you get a competent little car.
