The car was great when i first got it. but after 4 brake repairs (which the dealer insists is my fault, even though the caliper locks up on the rotor), this car is driving me to the poorhouse. everytime i rebound from paying off repairs, the car brakes down and i need to have it repaired again. i would NEVER buy another one. and i recommend anyone who is looking into this vehicle to look for something else. the dealership has done their best to make me happy, but it doesn't change the fact that i haven't been able to keep this car out of the shop for more than six months at a time. bad brakes. cracked windscreen and the car weighs too little to drive in the snow - no traction kills the tires

Put some rock and roll in the CD player and let this little rocket get its legs. In the fun per $ competition I don't see how you can beat this car. At the right engine speeds the acceleration is excellent and then handling is amazing. I went with the 16 inch wheels for a smoother ride and I'm pretty happy with the choice. The tires are sticky and I'm sure I lose a lttle in the corners to the 17 inchers but it can't be that much to justify the loss in ride quality. And the ride is better than I thought it would be based on how this car's suspension is set up. What a hoot!

My favorite car ever!

I have owned a BMW, a Mercedes, a Saab, and an Audi, and the Mini is by far the best car I have ever owned. I enjoy driving it around town, and it is amazingly comfortable on long trips as well. The controls are well placed, the interior is surprisingly roomy and the ride, while sporty, is not rough. The handling is superior to any other car I've driven, and, of course, it is by far the cutest car on the road!

I think this car is perfect to have in the city. Looking for parking is very easy due to the size of the car, making quick turns at fast speed and showing off. Gas consumption is very low and I ussually spend around $20 to fill out the tank in NY. It is a fun car to have.

Mini Cooper S Rules!

The Mini Cooper S is awesome. It offers great performance and a great choice of options. A lot of people say that the car could use more room in the back seat. That is true, but I have fit four 6' or so men in mine - not that you would want to go on a road trip that way - but it is fine if you are just going out to lunch. There is a good amount of leg/head room for front seat. In general the car is bigger inside than it looks on the outside. I didn't get the heated seats, if you are in a cold climate though I highly recommend it.
