Great Value for the price of a loaded Durango
Not a sports sedan, so I didn't rate it as such. It is an SUV, a road-going one at that, handles well and excellent braking with very good acceleration around town. Highway passing power is as expected with a diesel (lazy), towing the rated 7,200lbs seems like it'd be a stretch in mountains but I haven't tried. Mine is mostly a business/family car, averages 33mpg highway (calculated, since new) and I can get close to 30 around town driven gently. Well-controlled firm but not too firm ride and handling, nice interior and exterior details where good engineering is apparent. Stout suspension and undercarriage. Good interior space for four large adults for business, decent luggage space for travel. Controls are logical and easy to understand. Update: 46,000 miles, no problems except: one piece of wood trim had the finish crack (replaced under warranty), had the engine ECU re-flashed to cure a stumbling problem when very cold out (<15F), buzz in one speaker when using phone. A little disappointed in the tires lasting only around 50k miles (due for replacement now), but otherwise very dependable and reliable. The DEF (for the exhaust treatment) never needs to be touched, I have it filled every 10k miles at oil change time and that's it. People with other brand diesels seem to need to fill their DEF tanks more often. It does tow well. I was a bit concerned that it wouldn't have the power, but pulls my 7,000# boat/trailer out of the water fine, tows on highway well also, I am impressed with how stable it is considering it's not a huge vehicle nor wheelbase. With the Bluetec / diesel not available anymore in the US, I might have this one for a long time. Update 67,000 miles: The car has been semi-retired to personal travel and occasional errands. I installed new Michelin tires, no significant change to ride nor other metrics. I leased a new Explorer (also on Michelin tires) for business travel, which has given me an interesting perspective on the Mercedes however: Even with the 4-cyl Ecoboost (turbo) and the same type of driving, the Explorer only delivers around 21mpg to the Bluetec's 33. The gas engine does have more "pep" however and less lag, so overall better highway acceleration. That's where the new Explorer (8 months & 17,000 miles) ends its advantages. Coming back to my older and higher-mile Mercedes at the end of the week the differences are much more obvious to me. The Explorer's controls are kludgy and cheap feeling, the layout much less well thought-out, touch-screen is nice but Ford's navigation is dismal in comparison to Mercedes', the ride is loud, engine noise louder in the cabin than is the bluetec, and general ride is rough. The Mercedes has a far superior AWD system and is much more stable in gusty winds. That on top of the Explorer's blind-spots that take a second or third glance over my shoulders to change lanes, and there is really nothing nice I can say about the Explorer, ... makes me very happy that I spent the extra for the Mercedes. Hopped in the ML last weekend for a 400mile round-trip to visit relatives and smiled every mile, just so much nicer to drive, everything about the experience is better an it drives tighter with 4X the miles on it, I think it's going to see the 300K mark that my last Mercedes did without a rattle. Waiting for my 2-year Exporer lease to run out, ... but certainly keeping the Mercedes long-term. I would like a little more highway passing power, and to see diesel prices drop, but with 800+ mile range (to the explorer's 350) I'm happy to pay a price between regular and premium gasoline for my diesel. Update, 81,000 miles without a glitch. Rear brake pads recently replaced, showing wear and it was in anyway. Debating whether to have the dealer service the emissions recall, I don't want anything to change. It runs clean and efficient now. UPDATED: I let the dealer do the emissions update, no change in driveability nor mileage, might hold lower gears longer when cold but can override with paddle shifters. Additional 45,000 warranty and a check for $3,600 is hard to walk away from. 3,800 miles since the update, still running/driving great without a glitch. I have enjoyed my neighbors' comments riding in my now mid-life Mercedes that it is quieter and rides much nicer than their newer Cadillac Escalade & Buick. Of course it does.

4 cylinder diesel- great SUV
I bought my 2015 ML250 on 02-17-18 as a CPO from FL. I had a 2014 Audi Q5 that was out of warranty, needed new tires, and was a tad small for my 6'3" frame. I've never owned a diesel but had been interested in a Q5 TDI prior to the VW scandal and emissions cheating. Anyways, I located this vehicle and drove down on a Friday to trade my Q5 and take delivery of ML250. The engine note and diesel sound took a bit getting used to and initially I felt like the acceleration was a tad slow. I averaged 30.9 mpg on the way back to Atlanta doing 80 mph which I thought was phenomenal. I've now driven the vehicle for two weeks and am averaging 29.0 mpg which is great considering the traffic encountered here. Vehicle has much more interior room than the Q5 and is top notch in terms of materials quality. I have the park assist, lane assist, chrome package, and Premium 1 package. My only complain is the navigation which is minor since I primarily use Waze. Maybe I need to play around with it but the voice guidance is non-stop while driving, interfering with the music. Overall, the vehicle is top notch and I will see how reliable it is over time. I did pay for the 2 year/unlimited CPO extended warranty for peace of mind. I would recommend this SUV without reservation if you're looking for a luxury SUV with great fuel mileage and aren't looking for sports car performance. With 369 lb/ft torque, it will get up and go but is more of a cruiser than a bruiser.

2014 ML350 Mercedes Benz
buying used if you find the one you like that has been taken care of makes a lot of sense. Mine was 2 years old, 23,900 miles and looks and drives showroom new, but i only paid $36,900 for a car that was over $55,000 when it first sold. A little over two years later and this car just gets better and better. Best overall Mercedes we have ever owned.

Best all-around vehicle I've ever owned
This vehicle has hauled a packed 12 foot dual axle U-Haul twice from Michigan to western NY with ease while achieving better than 18 miles per gallon while averaging over 60 MPH for the trip. It's maneuverable, the back seats fold perfectly flat with the cargo area for loading all sorts stuff. It's quiet, it has a great sound system no matter where you're sitting (Harmon Kardon), great seats, great ride, great visibility. Best mileage on a trip was 34.5 MPG averaging 52 MPH. Around town I get 27 MPG. I didn't buy this for it's sporty handling. We wanted exactly what we got; a safe, practical all-purpose road cruiser

Surprising Diesel Performance
Bought vehicle off lease with 20,000 miles in 2017. What I find most pleasant is the quick response of the 4 cylinder diesel and the motor silence at 80 mph. How MB got such superb performance in a small diesel is astounding. The SUV is just perfect. Seats comfy, fit and finish excellent, materials high end, ride soft but firm on highway, turns effortlessly. I bought this SUV to tow a boat and for longer trips. The 4WD system makes taking boat out at the boat ramp easy and I get 20 mpg while towing a 3,000 pound boat at 68 mph. The 25 gallon fuel tank allows an 800 mile range at 70mph. I get 33 mpg at 70 mph and 31.3 mpg at 82 mph. MB has done a complete job with the ML250. Performance, 6,800 pound tow capacity, great fuel economy in a full size SUV.. Have had no issues. Will keep this real suv for many more years. Have owned ML 250 for 6 years. Enjoy the vehicle and plan to keep it 3-4 more years. This is a full size and rugged suv with a true suv frame. Paint still looks new. MB is built for safety and to last. I just cannot rave about this car enough. I think about a new SUV sometimes but nothing can equal the ML250 for safety, fuel economy, range, tow capability, ride comfort, reliability, and handling.

200,00K and still as good as new
30 miles per gal on freeway at 70 mph. Long distance traveling is smooth and relaxing with very quiet and comfortable ride. Rear fold down seats makes it large enough for sleeping. Very capable four-wheel drive in snow. Wouldn’t necessarily take this off-roading though. 6 years and 200,000 miles and still drives and looks like the day I bought it.

Worst car i ever had
With only 139000 miles car began to have terrible problems. Problems that i had never heard of. The sensors in the engine failed and as a result motor oil leaked up the wire and into the computer. To repair they had to drop the engine and replace all the wires and the computer which i had to wait for them to get. Took a long long time and cost $9000 dollars. My other option would have been to junk the car. Was unsaleable if not repaired. After being repaired drove it for two weeks and started making a loud noise. Attempted to drive it back to dealership one mile away and konked out before i got to the end of my street. Had to have it towed. They Said it back fired in the engine and blew up the intake manifold. In My experience cars backfire through the tail pipe and make a loud noise. Nothing more. Cost me another $1000 plus. At this point all i wanted to do was get rid of the car fearing an ongoing series of further problems. All they kept saying was “the car is 10 years old”. Still have a 2000 Honda Accord on the road! After spending over $10,000 had to trade it in for $7,000. Should have junked it instead! Do not ever purchase a Mercedes unless you have money to waste and want a series of headaches!

Love our ML 350 4 Matic
We bought our certified-pre owned ML a year and a half ago, We also purchased an extra year of warranty and 3 extra services. My wife raves over this car each time she drives it. It is the most comfortable car we have ever owned. She loves the commanding view, the ride, and the comfort of the seats. We got the model with the Harmon Kardon sound system. It is the best sound system we have ever owned in a car!

The Best
We decided to let go of our 2003 S500. I have been researching for the past 3 months. I had previously owned a 2007 RDX that I put 200k on. I found a 2014 ML350 with 15k at Naples Mercedes Benz. It had almost every option, including the 20" wheels. I found the ride, comfort, styling and safety features to be everything I was looking for. The absolute plus was my wife loving the ride and the way it gives her a commanding view. (she is taking the ML 350 and I know have to drive our CLS 550) Oh well... maybe the weekends for me. We haves now traded our CLS550 for an identical ML350.

2015 ML 400
Looked at the 2014 cayenne, 2015 X5 , and ML 400 The porsche was way under powered and the BMW was nice but the dealer wouldn't work with me and the ML 400 had everything we were looking for and the dealer worked with us. We took the ML from Birmingham to New Orleans last weekend and averaged 21 mpg at 80 mph . When passing the rpm' s never went above 3500 I would recommend this suv to anyone looking for luxury 5 seat suv
ML400 v. BMW X5
I compared and test drove the BMW X5 and the ML400. The X5 handles slightly better on highway ramps at the posted speed limit. As you pushed the SUVs harder through the highway ramps the X5 had less body lean to it, however, the ML400 was good and held the turns just fine. I choose the ML400 because I liked the smooth road and highway comfort. The highway ramps were a fraction of the time I spend driving so the nicer ride on the roads in the ML400 was more important to me than a few seconds of less lean in the highway ramps. Also, I liked the design and quality better in the ML400. I've had the ML400 16 months and have had no problems with it.

Definite upgrade over ML350
Traded in my 2012 ML350 and wanted more power and features. ML400 delivers both. New MB 6 cylinder turbo is much more powerful at any RPM. It's not quite an 8, but gets better fuel economy than the regular 6 in the ML350. This engine is a new gem in the MB lineup. The ML400 adds a bunch of features standard, plus I ordered AMG wheels, halogen lights, panoramic roof, cooled seats and a few more. If you like the ML350, you'll love the ML400. More money, but definitely more fun to drive. You may find a better value SUV, but the ML400 is tops in performance, ride quality and overall quality. Happy I stepped up.
Nice Car!!!
This vehicle is really a pleasure to own. We bought it new and have enjoyed it immensely! The only negative I can think of is the electronics! Manuvering from different functions is a real pain! Mercedes Benz is behind the times. With that being said, we're looking at a new one when the 2020 come s out! (assuming the electronics have improved!

2015 ML 400
Nice ride. Has everything anyone could want with a five seat suv. The 3.0 TT motor has plenty of power and the the rpm's don't max out every time you step on the gas like the base 2014 porsche I bought the suv to use as a family suv and I will not take it to the track for a race day. I looked at the porsche and to get the same options I have on my ML 400 and not have their base V6 motor. It would have cost $20K more and that's just for the S model I compaired to Porsche because I have a 911 and thought I wanted to stay with them. After having the ML for the first month I know I made the right desicission
In love
I have loved this car from the minute I got it. Love the handling, safety and sense of protection that I have driving this vehicle. My only, only problem is lack of a remote starter in the cold winter months. I would love to enter a nice, warm cozy car. Perhaps this is an option but since I leased I didn't want to have one installed and fiddle with the electric components of the car.

The Mercedes Experiment
First Mercedes after owning several Lexus RX 350's. This SUV is heavy and solid. Cavernous headroom and reasonably comfortable. Quality materials thruout. The qualty of the interior was much superior to the Lexus and far superior to the Audi Q5/7. The On Command system ( computer system) with M Brace ( a subscription conceriege service) is a complete joke. MBrace isn't worth 2 cents much less $380/year. No remote start on the 2015. Great tow capacity and excellent hiway ride. Gas milage is poor. Love the wood steering wheel feel and the lane departure warning. (Basic compared to current options offered) You might need special talents to get in and out of this car. Sits high and the side board causes some dificulty for entry and exit. No black plastic molding around the wheel wells. Looks far superior to the Lexus and Infinity. The interior color coordination with tan pilars and matching headliner/seats was preffered over the " cave like" Lexus and Cadilac black headliner and pilers. After 8 months there have been zero repairs, maintenance, other than cleaning and waxing, No malfunctions. Navigation system is cumbersome, so I just use the phone unless the destination has been pre programmed. Rear leg room is a little snug for the size of this vehicle. Operation of lowering and raising the back seats for cargo, is cumbersome and is difficult for my wife. Rain sensing wipers are too sensitive. Auto hi/lol headlight function is useless. Manual fob control to lower all windows requires too close of proximity.

V8 version is seriously fast luxurious SUV
CPO ML550 purchased in late 2017. Just went off warranty 10/2020. Warranty covered defective tire pressure sensor and power window. No problems otherwise, did all services as they came due. Periodic services aren't cheap, but a lot less pricey than the AMG services according to our service shop. Road hazard protection (rims and tires) is well worth the cost in our opinion as they replaced two bashed up rims without further cost to us. Our ML550 is the turbo V8 version. It is seriously fast. The accelerator and transmission are easy to learn, and we found the acceleration composed in every situation and blazingly fast when called upon, esp in cool dry weather. Some "expert" reviews say there's a lag in the power and then the SUV will burst forth in embarrassing fashion. This has not been our experience. The SUV has a lot of pull well past interstate speed limits, even when loaded with 3 200+ lb adults and their gear. On 2-lane highways with passing stretches, it's a breeze to pass pokey drivers, even those who feel compelled to gun it, for some reason, when you pull out to pass. We've been able to get around 18-20 mpg on the Interstate but only about 14 mpg in the city even when driving quite gently. Braking is outstanding, and the AWD is wonderful in the snow, rain and mud. The ride is wonderful on the highway, and wind noise is barely noticeable under 90 mph. On relatively rough stretches of roadway, the SUV stays composed, but large potholes and similar road defects register rather harshly inside. We've taken our ML550 off road at low speeds up and down rocky, rooty fire roads and through 1 foot-deep creeks, and the Benz was surefooted and had no problems. It has a setting similar to 4-wheel low as well as a hill descent mode. These work fine, but we didn't really need them. Hope this review helps some folks considering the 550 version.

Mercedes Technology, Learn From Lexus
This is the second ML-350 AWD that I have owned, so my review applies to the 2012 which had engine problems, misfiring and the 2015 which has keyless go technology problems. Both items were reported to Mercedes many times and in both cases Mercedes provided no satisfaction and no ability to find the problem and repair it. On the 2012, near the end of my ownership just prior to trading the car in, Mercedes came out with and performed some sort of software upgrade on the engine and it finally fixed the misfiring. This problem had gone on for almost three years, with Mercedes denying there was a problem and telling me that it was the gasoline I was purchasing which was the same I had used in my many Lexus SUV's for previous 20 years. On my current 2015, the keyless go fails more than it works and the car continues to get confused when there are two keys near the car. My wife always carries, her key to my car when we ride together and the Mercedes keyless go is unable to switch between the keys and work consistently. Recently, we have had a problem, where my wife was in the car and unable to get out, and I was outside with my key and unable to get in, which would have been a disaster in an emergency. The car has been in the shop at least 4 times for this problem, but Mercedes denies there is a problem and will not switch out the computer that handles this part of the technology or has been unable to fix the problem. I have made videos of the failure which I was asked by my service manager at Mercedes to do to proof the failure was happening and there are numerous reports of the problem online, but similar to my engine problem in the 2012, Mercedes is unable or unwilling to address and repair the problem. Other than the problems, we have liked the ML350, and we also own the GLK 350, but I am very unhappy with the way Mercedes addresses their own issues with their Technology. Having been a Lexus owner since Lexus came out with their SUV's and with Toyota before that, the switch to Mercedes has been difficult as their customer service and their ability to make their technology work still needs improvement. Update 8-12-17, In January 2017 Mercedes service replaced the keyless go computer and the keyless go worked correctly for a short time before it started to fail again. Now it has gotten much worse, often will not recognize one of the keys and still does not have the ability to switch between the two keys. Mercedes has a long way to go in being able to service and fix their own technology issues. I have now had this car for 30 months and keyless go still does not work properly.

MB nothing but the best
Well, this car is amazing; great ride, audo is great, steering and handling awesome, feels safe, higher up than a sedan but not as high as a suburban, stylish interior! I would say the drivers seat could be a bit more comfortable and can a car company please create a spot for the handbag! Anyway, just drove the GLC 300 and I think I will go that route next. A bit sportier and the seat and surroundings are way more comfortable. I am officially a Benz girl! won't trade them for another!

Last of the Diesels
I bought this car used a few years ago and did not take out the extended warranty(MISTAKE) a fuel injector failed cost me 3K. That being said I really have enjoyed the car and plan on keeping it a couple more years as the mileage and general driving experience is wonderful. I even like the clattering of the motor as this was a one year car with the truck diesel engine in I have an Audi Q5 diesel which is much faster and quieter even after the recall but the Mercedes just has a certain feel and sits up higher with better visibility, Hopefully they will have something more efficient when I finally trade this one in,

Mercedes Emissions Settlement
CPO purchased in October 2015. Just went off warranty 10/2019. 78,000 miles, all problems fixed. Love my car, reliable, owned for going on seven years and drives like it's new. Oh, with 78,000 miles on it, I still think its the best diesel engine made, 3.0 Turbocharged V6, it's just getting broken in, ha. Drives like a dream on the highway with plenty of power, quite ride and cruising speed. Car fixes, first by Mercedes, as part of a settlement law suit, the emissions and Cat for the Mercedes diesel-gate. Then, the emissions charger pipe was spewing vapor (oil) out the side, so I had that fixed at my local Independent Mercedes shop for one third the price of the dealership. And, the dealership diagnosis was incorrect, the oil cooler seals were not leaking as they had hounded me about for over a year and wanted $4,400 plus tax to fix. Classic dealership BS. Car now runs fine and I am keeping it because new car dealers don't have the replacement vehicles I want (hybrid Lexus or Toyota) and are gouging customers with ridiculous prices (no negotiation), so I can wait out the supply chain BS and inventory problems. Hybrids and EVs are the future but only at a fair price. Oh, and electricity is not "FREE"! We also have a 2019 T5 XC-40 that is well maintained and only has 25,000 miles on it. It is three years+ old and still looks and rides like brand new. So, no rush in buying any new vehicle until at least 2024.

First-class Vehicle
Looks great, both interior and exterior. Plenty of power, especially once up to speed; not as much take-off power, but I was spoiled by owning a BMW 7-Series before this car, and it had a larger engine, to be fair. Ample storage space in the back, and plenty of leg room in the back seat. Interior and exterior trim lighting are unique and attention-getting. Navigation system is impressive, and lots of places to plug stuff in (USB ports, etc.). Not quite as sporty-looking as a BMW SUV, but has a more refined look, and has everything you need, or could even want.

Gorgeous & Practical
Looking for a stylish family car, we bought a loaded CPO 2015 ML350 with 43k miles in showroom-perfect condition, at half the original price. Absolutely gorgeous inside out, everything looks super rich, design is classy yet modern. MB-Tex seats with texturing, perforation and contrasting stitching look and feel great, love the polished wood panels. Sitting high up in the spacious cabin, it feels exceptional even among luxury cars. RWD-based chassis results in handsome profile with short front overhang, and your right leg’s proximity to transmission tunnel is a reminder of the premium architecture. Tall and spacious inside yet sleek on the outside, always the best-looking car in the parking lot. Great driving position with big windows. Spring-loaded shifter on steering column is super easy to use, and articulated wiper arm that covers almost the entire windshield is a uniquely Benz advantage. Engine is smooth and strong, 7-speed auto has just enough gears for good performance without feeling like a CVT. Steering is very light without much feedback, but offers good drivability once you learn to hold it gently. Ride is creamy smooth yet suitably firm, has a quality feel that makes it fun to drive during ordinary use (not recommended for attacking canyon roads). Rear bench is upright and high off the floor, great for two passengers and quite good for three. This is much comfier than sedans, and while it cannot compete with the bonkers room of minivans, we are happy to trade some space for style. Combined with the large trunk and high viewpoint that allows you to see far ahead, the ML is perfect for family road-trips, gobbling up mile after mile in complete comfort. No major issues over 15k miles, and although you are stuck with premium gas and high maintenance cost, you get exclusivity in return. One year into the ownership, we love it more and more every day!!

Broken hearted Benz owner
While loving the looks, handling, comfort, fuel efficiency and power. This car is a maintenance nightmare. One has to ask is the ML250 really a Mercedes?. The answer is a BIG NO! After several repairs to the same system my wife demanded why .The service manager said too much Chrysler. This was recently proven with Mercedes Multi Billion dollar settlement with the EPA over Emission Controls built by Chrysler. This has been a nightmare as Mercedes has done everything they can to keep the owners in the dark.Since the recalled repairs we continue to experience Emission Control system issues. The DEF tank is leaking.Of course it's not part of the settlement . Plus the $4000 Platinum extra mileage Warranty we purchased from Mercedes after the Original Extended Warrant expired doesn't cover the $3500 repair bill. I could go on and on. However one of our favorite most dependable cars was a 1992 Aura Legend. Loved the car for 12 years and 200,000 miles. So we recently purchased a new Acura MDX. we're so looking forward to safe dependable trouble free driving. When and if we get the promised $3900 settlement for the emission system we will give the Mercdes away, as I wouldn't wish this nightmare on anyone. One last thing when we purchased our Mercedes. Friends warned us of all the maintenance nightmares and how Japanese cars had exceeded both Mercdes and BMW in quality and dependability. Sadly we learned the hard way

OURS IS A LEMON
We bought a very clean 2015 Mercedes ML250 for my girlfriend. I have owned 7 different Mercedes vehicles in my time and thought this would be good for her. The car had only 49k miles and the seller represented the warranty was good to 50k miles. Before the first 100 miles, the moonroof leaked (this is Oregon) and a computer that runs the air/heat system went bad. The dealer has had the car for several days and says the warranty expired a month ago. The minimum quoted for just the air/heat was "a minimum of $1,400". We have had the car one week and 100 miles. Very disappointed with Mercedes customer service and will stick with Lexus from now on. The car was clearly babied, garaged and maintained. It shouldn't have these issues under 50k.

Best car ever
Only dislike is when it’s cold I wish the steering wheel gets warm 😉
2014 Mercedes-Benz ML350
Very comfortable car for long trips, with lots of power and a great turning radius, easy handling. One oddity is that one has to turn on the radio for the backup camera to turn on.

My 2014 ml 350 4 matic
I have driven my ml for 8 trouble free months…I absolutely love this car. I traded in a new E class after 1 month of ownership due to a bad back and could not get in and out of the car. My ml is comfortable and has been very dependable!

ML 350 4matic 2014 and still THE Suv !
Liked the older version ML 320, the "Box-SUV", then came this one, the ML 350 4matic, more like a car, great ride, nice space, still loving it, have not seen a model to replace this with. It's a keeper! Still a keeper! btw. this one is still with its first owner.!
Underrated luxury Mercedes SUV
Truly amazing!
Lemon Mercedes-Benz
From the first week in 2014 we have had nothing but problems on a regular basis with the car. You should hope a car in its class would be great but I assure you nothing but a lemon painted white.

an expensive meds
Terrible ride quality- rides like a stone! Terrible seats- firm and not comfortable! Terrible off-road- large wheel and thin tires make for a scary off road situation! Good acceleration and breaking. Mercedes has lost their way with their ML suv. The suspension clatters and bangs over every crack on the road! The transmission shifts abrubtly all of the time and with the large wheels and thin tires it is terrible off road! The seats are very uncomfortable. The only pros I can speak of as an owner are the reliability
