Bought a 2019 brand new. The vehicle currently has less than 20000 miles on it. I have had more problems and it’s been in the repair shop more than any vehicle I’ve ever owned all of them combined, and I’ve owned vehicles for 28+ years. My experience with Mercedes customer care has been horrible!!I have repeatedly asked Mercedes to stand behind their product and they refuse to do so. The vehicle stalled out on a busy street at 10000 miles and had to be towed. I had vehicles flying by me blowing their horns at me because I couldn’t move. Supposedly it was a sensor issue. 2 different times the vehicle would not accelerate. It felt like the transmission was slipping. One of those times I was on an interstate had a vehicle flashing their lights at me to get over and I couldn’t because there was a vehicle beside me. The first time it done that supposedly the transmission fluid was low and it had came that way from the factory??? Problem with that theory was the 1st maintenance had already been done. Weren’t they supposed to check the fluids at maintenance? Now the theory is it’s the accelerator pedal because it’s electronically controlled. Not to mention I’ve also had issues with the back up camera, but this vehicle according to Mercedes is perfectly safe to be on the road???? REALLY MERCEDES????? Obviously you don’t value your customers’ lives nor the safety or quality of your vehicles. 3 times the vehicle has malfunctioned in way that could have put me in an extremely dangerous situation and I could’ve been killed. If you valued the consumer, their safety, and the quality of your product you would do the RIGHT thing and take this vehicle back! Evidently the persons in charge of making these decisions are NARCISSISTS and only care about padding their wallets !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!NEWSFLASH IT’S A LEMON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry but this time there isn’t any turning it into lemonade until you MERCEDES will take back your product!!!!!!!!

Everything about this car is good or great EXCEPT the multimedia. There are no buttons for the radio and tuning in your favorite AM/FM/Sirius is an arduous task. You need to take you eyes off the road for anything. What good is it to have 40 channels in the memory if you can’t tell where you are in the list??? You need to look down at the screen to find anything. Laughingly, when you start the car, a message from Mercedes appears telling you not to be distracted from driving. The voice control on my multimedia tuning doesn’t work. Half the “consultants” say that it is broken and to consult service, the other half say that the voice control is only on the upgrade radio. I guess $47,000 list is not enough to use the radio!!! How about some buttons then for the entertainment system??????

I love this car, except for the Nav system. It is not truly traffic aware and always underestimates travel time. It adds time whenever I stop at a light. Also, it does not display the address when I arrive. If I knew where I was going, I wouldn’t need the nav system, so displaying the actual address when I get there would be very useful. Also does not indicate whether address will be on the right or the left. This information would be very helpful. Apart from that, no complaints.

Beautiful and refined SUV

There is little to not like this SUV. Exterior design is much more beautiful than that of most other SUVs. There are no sharp edges and yet it has a bold look to it. Interior is definitely look and feel like Mercedes, luxurious. The center console has a clean, minimalist look. It is not overloaded with buttons. It is worthwhile to upgrade the command console with an 8" screen. Since it is not overloaded with buttons, most of the functions for navigation, radio, media and phone can only be access either by the glide pad, knob, or from steering column. With that said, I did not find it anymore difficult to use than it is with any car that has all of these features. After a couple of times of using it, it appears to be fairly intuitive. I thought I'd miss having the gear box either on the center console or near center armrest, but I don't. I actually like it in the steering column because it again takes the clutter away from car, leaving that clean, uncluttered look. Parking assist feature is pretty cool in helping us parallel park especially when the space is a bit tight. When driving, the seats are extremely comfortable and it is quiet. Much quieter than Lexus or comparable Audi. It comes with Mercedes Me app that is really cool. At a glance, you can check various status of your Benz such as fuel level and distance travel left till fuel run low, engine status, door is lock or unlock. It will alert you if your door is left unlock for more than a few minutes and ask if you want to lock it. You can also remotely send destination address from the app to your SUV navigation so it will begin within a minute after you get in and start your car. This app is so awesome that I now can't imagined not having it. So far I've driven my GLC300 4matic in dry weather, light rain and heavy rain. I can honestly say that the full time all wheel drive is a main reason why the car felt solid on the road especially when it is pouring rain outside. Other people who has full time all wheel drive Mercedes said the same thing about their car when driving in the snow as well. I've not had the chance to drive it in the snow yet, but I will once winter comes back next season. There is also a host of safety features built in. I opted to not purchase SUV with driver assist package because my wife wanted the light up star on the front grill. With that said, the built in safety that does come with the car works flawlessly. Unlike other cars that I've been in that has blind spot assist, Mercedes blind spot assist does not emit false signal. Meaning that if you drive next to a wall barrier, it does not give off false alert. Another cool thing is that if it detects car in front slowing down on the highway and that your car is also not slowing down, It will alert you with a loud noise. GLC300 also has a 360 degree camera view. I love this feature because I can see if there is something or someone small close to the vicinity of the car to prevent me from hitting them by accident. I am truly impressed with my GLC 300 and overall, it is a great small SUV.

Excellent Ride & Handling but Infotainment Clunky

Giving it a 4 for a quality of the ride and performance. However, the salesperson failed to tell me that without the "media" package (which I thought was mainly about navigation) the button with the voice on it that about every car on the planet has DOES NOTHING! Yes, that's right, my 2011 Ford Edge had voice command which could switch the Sirius channel, call someone on my phone and more. But this button does NOTHING - not even voice dial. I was quite shocked after realizing this and even wanted to trade car for another one, have media pkg installed or something. Not possible to install media pkg and price to trade is not rational when considering tax and license loss. Saving grace is the Android Auto application. But there are still many things that don't work well with this set-up - but it's the only alternative. I find myself having to constantly push buttons to go from my Waze navigation.,to playing songs on phone via bluetooth and back to Sirius radio. Switching between these on my long, daily journey to\from work are a regular activity which was super easy with my Ford Edge. With this car I'm having to go through multiple steps just to navigate between these. It's extremely irritating for someone who spends A LOT of time in the car. Going from buttons in dash, to the turn knob in middle section to the steering button controls - when it would be so much easier to touch the damn screen! But it's not touch screen - argh! Sorry - these German cars have NOTHING on American and Japanese Infotainment - at least not yet....maybe Land Rover based on a test drive - but many of those Land Rovers don't even have sunroofs that open - ha! In California an opening sunroof is a must for me. The other thing I'm still getting used to is that it's much lower to the ground with smaller tires. Driving in city (San Francisco) with all of the construction and bumps - not as easy with a smaller car lower to the ground. I think my Ford Edge would have taken these literal bumps in the road much easier. I'm about two months in and I'm STILL pining over other cars I see on the road and considering a trade-in to something like an F-Pace. But although these things are super irritating....jury still out if worth actually taking that much of a loss to trade it in so soon. Above not withstanding, the ride is super sweet and the smaller size fits much nicer in my crowded garage. It's a high quality car outside of the Infotainment - which is why i have it a 4-Star. This thing moves and handles amazing - like a car. if you choose to get one of these - I recommend you get the media package!

Loving this purchase! Comfort and class galore! This is going to be FUN! Update...engine light keeps coming on (gas cap?). Took it on a 5 hr road trip and it developed a very annoying, high pitched whine when I drove over 70mph. (Idle pulley?) Going to have to take in for service already. Hope this is not setting a maintenance trend!

Run flat tires = rough ride

I've had this SUV for a month now and have put close to 1000 miles on it. It's checks all the boxes for me with one notable exception, it rides like a truck over the slightest bumps. One of the things I wanted in a car, now that I'm older, was a smooth ride and on a good road, it delivers, but once there are any imperfections on a road, the MCB GLC 300 turns into a bouncy house. Edmunds lauds the ride quality and I wonder would did the review because I'm here to tell you, the ride is barely passable. Edited to add: Run flat tires are the culprit and cause the rough ride. Yes, I took a test drive but on the route the salesman directed, which did not give me any cause for alarm with the ride. I intend to replace the Pirelli Scorpions with another brand, probably Goodyear ComfortTred.

I just turned in my 2016 E350 (sport) and needed to get a vehicle with more ground clearance, so I leased the 2019 GLC 4Matic. This vehicle is quieter and rides better than the E350. It’s the perfect daily commuter. It’s got plenty of power for my needs and is easy to maneuver around town. I feel like I’m wrapped in a sweet little cocoon. While it’s a very comfortable vehicle with lots of important few

MB Customer Service after the Sale is Terrible!

2019 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class AMG GLC 43 4dr SUV AWD (3.0L 6cyl Turbo 9A)

Make sure you are well aware of the tires that come on your new Mercedes! I bought the GLC43 AMG new 5 months ago. This was during the hot weather in my area so the summer tires that come on the car didn't show their ugly side until it started getting cooler outside. Now that it's winter here in South Carolina, when the I turn the wheel sharply, such as when parking or backing out of a parking space, a terrible loud clunk is heard. Also, if there is any difference in the pavement height, such as backing out of my driveway onto the street, the front tires seem to hop along. I took the car into the dealership and requested that the service manager take a look at it to determine the noise. It's so loud, anyone else in the parking lot will hear it also! The service manager said it was a "design flaw" and that all the AMGs do this and even said the AMG63s are even worse. He said that it should be corrected when I replace the tires...what no one told me when I bought the car was any tire that isn't a Continental, Pirelli, or some Dunlop SUMMER tires won't fit. Only between 9000 and 12000 miles is expected from this high performance tire so that means that I'll be spending around $1500 at least twice a year for tires! I contacted MB USA and was told to have the dealership send in an invoice for replacement tires and they'd see what they could do to get them changed out. It came with the Continental tires and after 6500 miles, their showing wear and since they're summer tires, they have no traction in wet weather. Typically, I can't drive over 50mph on the freeway in the rain due to fear of hitting SMALL patches of water and having the car swerve violently to the side from hydroplaning. When I talked to the service advisor at the dealership about the loud clunking noise, he said, "Yeah, we know about that. Most people just get used to it." Wait a minute...I spent over $70,000 to deal with an issue that is a possible design flaw/safety issue, and that's the best answer you can come up with?! MB USA Corporate told me as far as the noise is concerned, they're not aware of anything that is their fault (look at forums and you'll see this is a common complaint of thousands of people around the world with the AMGs) and I was told that, "I should have been made aware of the short life of the summer tires by the salesman." The lady who I talked with told me I saw the car before I bought it so I should have known about the continuous replacement of tires. I asked about the possibility of having the 21" wheels replaced with the standard 20" wheels and was told that it would cost around $8000 to do this and they wouldn't do that since it isn't a manufacturer's defect. I really think putting 21" wheels for aesthetic reasons on a car that is designed to have 20" wheels is a design flaw! Doing research on tire replacement before purchasing a car and the yearly cost involved isn't something that I expect to do. This is the third new Mercedes that I've purchased and I trusted the brand before now. I will definitely consider another brand before the next new car comes home with me and I suggest if you're considering the AMG, stay away! I test drove the GLC 300 before this one and should have stuck with a tried and true model.

Bought this 2019 MB GLC 300 4Matic new. Car drives very well. I find it is not comfortable on drives over 400 miles no matter what seat position. My 2012 truck has more comfort. Fuel use is ok. OEM tires didn't even make 15,000 mile before they were past the TWBI, and we don't drive fast at all. The service cost to maintain it is horrible. The Lexus 350 the wife had before this MB was far cheaper to maintain. With almost same options. R/S Scotty

brake Rotor break at 18000 miles in 2 years

Bought this at 2019, BRAND NEW. drove 18000 miles, had noise on my brake. bring back to dealer which is the Rotor broken but the brake and pad (original) still in good condition. Ask for $1000+ to change. Dealer told me the Rotor is damages by rocks. Can you believed that we depend our life on the brake which can damages by a ROCK? Typically, Brake Rotors can last 30000 miles to 70000 miles. Call Mercedes Company, BUT they responded it is a normal wear and tear. 18000 miles? they said they will follow up the dealer to find what is going wrong. unfortunately, when i pick up my car, no one called. As a Big brand name car, can you believed customer service like this! I believed that is a manufacture DEFECT which they need to take a serious and response for the repair. What brand of car the Rotor is that soft ? 18000 miles is low for a Rotor.

Beware of Multimedia "Upgrade"

New 2019 GLC 300 W4. On the MBUSA website, I used the "build" function to configure the car I wanted, and felt I had been successful when I bought it. One of the options was the addition of Apple Carplay/Android Auto, for about $250. The upgraded option, Multimedia System with Nav, ($2200) deselected the ACP/AA option. Nowhere in selecting this option was there information that if you chose the Multimedia option, you could not upgrade, retrofit, or otherwise by any means get Apple Carplay/Android Auto. I naively thought choosing the more expensive option would get me built in navigation, and the other features, as well as ACP/AA. Not so! I have dealt with Mercedes-Benz customer service, and bottom line is that this modern smartphone integration is just not available if you choose the Multimedia System option. I am exceedingly disappointed about this decision by Mercedes-Benz 12/5/2019. Approximately 6 months of ownership, about 8,000 miles. The lack of Apple Carplay/Android Auto is still frustrating. Also, the Mercedes Me Connect app for smartphone is cumbersome. I like remote start in the Winter especially. If the car is in my garage, to start it, I start the app, then press and hold the lock button, wait until that function is carried out (maybe 20-30 seconds), then press and hold the start button, then enter a 4 digit PIN, then wait another 30 seconds until it starts. Then I get two text messages, one informing me the car was locked, the other informing me the car was started. I also get two email informing me of the same things. Also, I found the options packages confusing, and difficult to navigate. I have I thought all the safety and convenience packages, yet ended up without front and rear proximity detectors/alerts. I think they were part of the parking assist package which allows the car to parallel park itself, but no mention of the proximity detectors. MB just needs to list options separately, or list them more clearly within the various packages.

I was driving a 2007 Kia Sorento, 220,000 miles and still running very good. When I retired in May I decided to treat myself to a nice retirement gift. I shopped and test drove BMW X3, Audi Q5, Volvo XC 60, Acura RDX, Cadillac XT5. They were all nice. Especially the Audi and BMW. But when I got in the Mercedes I fell in love with the interior. And after driving the GLC my mind was pretty much made up. I thought with only 241 horsepower it might not be enough, but I was wrong. Gretchen will get up and go. Yeah her name is Gretchen, and she’ll run like a scared rabbit. I think the ride quality is on par with the BMW and Audi. Oh ,by the wayk I also drove the Jaguar F-Pace it drove really nice, but the interior did not appeal to me, it looked a little cheap. All said, I love Gretchen. The downside is learning the infotainment center . It takes a minute to grasp. And I’m not a fan of run flat tires. So far I love Gretchen.

Made a bad mistake trading in my Audi 2014 TDI with 122k for this car. Its painfully slow off the line regardless of what the 0-60 says. Infotainment looks great but radio controls are way too complicated. I also have an XC90 and Volvo's system despite being blasted by critics is much easier to use than this. I will bite the bullet and take a loss in a year or so and upgrade to the new Audi Q5 e. Should have never bought this

This is a beautiful suv. My greatest rave is the ability of this car to go through deep snow and never falter once. My 2019 has 2,500 miles on it now and I'm going to trade it in for a sedan. Reasons: Be sure you are tall enough for an suv that sits high off the ground. I am an older person and I have to put the seat all the way back to get in or out. The interior is beautiful tan and rosewood burl. Unfortunately when you enter the car, at floor level the tan trim runs across the bottom. If you bump it with you shoe which happens a lot, one finds themselves spending a lot of time cleaning this leather. I was going to have a cover made to put on this area to protect the trim, but since I've decided to trade it in I'm not going to bother. If you are 6' tall, you are going to love this car. It drives like a dream.

My preference has always been Japanese especially after having bad experiences with a 2002 BMW 328. I really like my GLC. Handles great, excellent acceleration and very comfortable. Steering is precise with hardly any body roll. The transmission sometimes searches for the right gear but not a bother. The only thing I don’t like is the windshield wipers. Can’t clean them with the hood closed and the intermittent feature is horrible, you can’t adjust the timing manually. All in all I enjoy this vehicle.

Searched for a used vehicle with under 20k miles and found this 2019 with less than 7,000 miles. Great deal and saved me the depreciation off of a new car. Sales rep at the dealer was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely use Edmonds again the next time I am in the car market.

This is my first Mercedes-Benz and I have to say that I’m in love! I almost didn’t test drive it because of the 4 cylinder engine but I figured what’s a test drive going to hurt. Boom the 255 hp feels like 375 hp and the ease of switching through the multiple driving modes and the clear differences is like driving 5 different vehicles. Sport + is nothing short of a rocket! AWD makes it feel like the car is never going to slip, even in inclement weather. I leased it this time but I’m sure I’m buying the next one definitely and I’ve become a customer for life!!!

I rented this car recently and wanted to point out to prospective buyers that the vision in this car is very poor. The section between the front and rear door is elongated and there is a very significant blind spot both to the right and left when looking for cars backing out or merging into traffic. The mirrors and back up camera are only average and do no make up for the very poor viewing angles this car has, It is a very nice car otherwise but I feel not a very safe car because of the very limited viewing angles. Engine is pretty underwhelming as well, and car was fairly noisy

My 2019 Mercedes AMG GLC43 is just what I needed after driving my Mercedes E300 sedan. I was able to obtain a perfect size SUV for my daily commute but added an element of driving enjoyment with the power and engineering that the AMG package delivers. The exterior is enhanced with many trim features and the 21 inch wheels add to that AMG image. The interior is loaded with many 1st Class features and delivers that AMG experience. Every aspect of this vehicle is top notch and will give you the feel that you are in a special ride.

Instruments cheap and plastic, brakes soft and unresponsive (could be because it's a rental), bluetooth old and outdated (only for Apple), old style shifter on column... dangerous because it's the same shape and size of the wiper control. Position of driving controls awkward in center console, display panel small, not touch screen, instrument panel fine (if you're driving a Ford). Handling good but not a BMW, acceleration drags due to electronic shifting. Comfortable, but passenger head rest does not tilt and is in an uncomfortable forward position. Definitely not a future buying consideration.

It had a great ride and was comfortable and quiet. It was not quite big enough for our needs. The one thing we did not like was that the controls were so complicated. It usually required looking in the owner's manual just to do something simple, such as changing the radio from AM to FM.

I know I have seen so many people confused with this luxury car. However, if you take the time to get acquainted with it, learn its quirks, its modes, and its settings, I think you will love it. There are cars out there that the dealership require you to take a class to purchase it. this should be one of those cares. it is extremely complex, but once you got everything down, it is a NARVELOUS car. It rides smooth, accelerates amazing, the features are in all the right places. and the overall feel of it is luxury. If you want a more intuitive, and more technologically advanced that a boring Ford or Dodge- this is your car. The Germans know what they are doing, it is a masterpiece if you take the time to get to know it. The only Downsides I can see are lack of spare tire, and no way to check the Trans fluid.

Prior to owning a Mercedes-Benz I had never been a fan of their cars because I was a Japanese car fan (Honda, Toyota, Lexus, Acura). Now that I am an owner I realize not only the quality but the engineering of Mercedes-Benz is much better for similar money. Yes, the same vehicle in the Mercedes-Benz line will cost you more money but it is really not that much more. However, you are getting more car and also more prestige for your money. However, with all that I had stated having the privilege of owning a Mercedes-Benz will definitely increase you quality of life. And isn't that is what life is all about?

If you are a woman who drives in High heels do not get any Mercedes Benz cars . Your heel will get stuck in the gas pedal and you will crash . Mercedes will not care about this because their words he says to wear suitable shoes and the feel the high heels are not suitable. That’s right there discrimination .
