Bought this brand new at the end of the model year for 5K off sticker. It has only been in the shop for oil changes and two recalls. Dealership service has been great and reasonable. Not as much cargo space as larger SUVs and rear seat legroom is limited but good for kids. Resale value looks to be better than average. Hwy cruising is a bit noisy unless radio is cranked up. Great around town vehicle. Mileage on hwy trip 24-28 depending on speed and AC. Local mileage 21-22. I am considering an upgrade to a CX-9 but really hate to give this one up.
2011 Mazda CX-7 s Grand Touring 4dr SUV AWD (2.3L 4cyl Turbo 6A)
We have loved the car since day one and still do at 65,600 miles, and the black cherry color is beautiful day and night. I'm 5'8 and with the driver seat as far down as possible my head just about hits the ceiling. Other than that the seats are comfortable and we love the heated seats in the front, except the back seats are very cramped and there is virtually no leg room. The headlights are terrible at night so we have to turn on the brights which just look normal, I'm replacing them LEDs soon. Since owning the car we had to buy a bigger battery, because the stock battery could not handle the equipped electronics, interior light bulbs, both headlights, new breaks, a few recalls - all done for free, engine air filter, and cabin air filter. The MPG is amazing on the highway but in town, it doesn't even come close to what Mazda puts out. The AWD system is always on and doesn't have a button to turn it on, which contributes to the horrible MPG. This car may be a gas hog but it handles deep snow on country roads like a beast. If you have the money for gas I highly recommend this car.
