Used 2007 Mazda CX-7 Consumer Reviews
An easy transition to an SUV!
I love my Mazda. I traded my 01 Honda Civic for my 07 Mazda-- going to the family car. I wanted something with room but, would still drive like a car.Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and feel like I got my money's worth. High safety ratings, looks great, inside is well designed and roomy, you will get lots of compliments! :)
Part everything
Searched for a car for years. A lot of small SUV types out there the lately, but most such as the CR-V, RAV-4, Forester don't appeal to me. This one is part SUV, part wagon, and yes, part sports car. A little quirky but a good fit for a single Northwest man with plenty of outdoor places to go. Mileage is 17-19 city and best has been 22-23 on highway trips. Get the AWD, got a chance to test in the snow right away and there is nothing like it.

Mazda CX-7 specs
It's a cool car, but there are a few features missing that I wish would be in the car. Tiny thing, but the tiny things make all the difference. First off, there's no ash tray, no light for the mirror in the visor, no MP3 hookup, no light in the glove compartment, the doors don't automatically lock after starting the car and driving. Again, small things, but things that add up. It drives really well and you can adjust the driver seat to sit high feeling like an SUV or low feeling more like a sports car. The rear camera is awesome as is the keyless entry and keyless ignition.
2007 Touring
Drives very well with a definite sporty feel. Like the turbo surge. Very comfortable. Gas mileage has been between 19 and 23 in the city which isn't bad.
Zoom Zoom is right!
We traded in what was the best car we had ever owned (an 05 Mazda3 hatchback) to get our new CX-7 and what a good trade it was! The 3 is zippy & handles itself well and the CX-7 has the same solid feel, plenty of power and a good feel of the road. It doesn't corner like the 3 but it is smooth through the corners with more than enough power to pleasantly surprise you and the suspension makes for a nicer ride than the 3. It's very comfortable on long rides and the sound proofing has improved. I am very impressed with the power of the 2.3 turbo and am often surprised by the amount of 'takeoff' power there is through the first 3 gears of the 6 speed automatic. And it gets 23 mpg so far! WOW!
