CX-50 Turbo Premium is a Quality Ride

Just short of 3 Mos ownership. I love this Mazda The Terracotta leather interior looks great. Fit and finish looks very good coming from the new US Mazda - Toyota Plant. The engine and tranny are from the main Japan plant, known for quality and reliability. Ride is firm but not rough and handling is excellent. Turbo has plenty of power and allows for up to 3.5k towing capacity. Turbo also has an additional Towing driving mode. The Interior is comfortable and quiet and the Bose 12 speaker stereo is excellent. The infotainment system is fine no issues, some like the wide screen tv touch screen look this 10” display looks more elegant. So far so good but no one can yet weigh in on reliability but if fit finish is representative of build quality it should be good.

Had my CX 50 PP for about a month. Love the vehicle. Drove from Texas to Colorado where it snowed on us for four days. The all wheel drive system handled the road conditions really well. It was an 11 1/2 hour drive and the car was very comfortable. I think Mazda did it great job with this vehicle. Couple nitpicky things that I think could be improved: 1 The infotainment system kind of sucks. It’s difficult to get used to it can be very annoying. 2 If you get a trim level where the seats are heated the steering wheel should be also. 3 A key fob that big should have two large buttons on each side and not four small on one side 4 you should also be able to start the vehicle with the fob not just the app 5 The app could use some improvements. Again nitpicky little stuff. I really love this vehicle and I’m really happy that I bought it just a couple little things that could use some work. Hate to sound like a whiner but these are just a couple thoughts

just became the very proud owner of my brand new cx-50 preferred plus in soul red,and i really like this suv.i really think some car owners are a bit nit-picky on certain things..i have the 17-inch wheels in black, which is what i wanted.i knew before i even test drove this vehicle that i didn't want the turbo,or the 20-inch wheels.mine rides smooth, and is quiet enough for me.i also have the standard 8-speaker stereo system, which is almost as good as the bose system in the hyundai i traded in for this vehicle.i do have a few minor gripes, but just takes getting used to..the tire monitor is on the mazda connect app,and so is the remote start.also, with the remote start, the vehicle shuts off anytime you unlock the back,or a door.also, you have to remember to set ventilation setting the night before,if you plan on using the remote the next morning.on the hyundai blue link,i was able to turn on my heated seats, and adjust interior temperature.like i said, just a few things, but nothing worth crying about.

Almost Perfect!

I researched and researched SUVs, finally landed on the CX50 due to the great reviews from Car & Driver, Motortrend, Edmunds, etc. For the most part, I love it. It's gorgeous, great tech features, handles well. A couple of things prevented me from giving the SUV 5 stars, the biggest being that the heated/ventilated seats are not comfortable! There were so many things to get excited about during the short test drive that I missed the fact that the seats are hard! I bought it and was already on my drive home from the dealership before I began to notice that the seat felt like I was sitting on a board. Mazda ... you could do better than that! The other thing that I wish were different is that you can only use the remote start from the app on your phone. How hard would it have been to include that feature on the key fob as well? And there is more outside noise than I was expecting; at first I thought one of my windows must be open a bit but none were. I'm not sure if it is wind noise or road noise (I have the 20" tires and live in a rural area). These are not dealbreakers for me, I still love my CX50, like my title says ... it's Almost Perfect.

More luxury than Subaru

I love the color exterior and interior, the amber lights in the front at night. It looks like a luxury vehicle but something you can take off roading because of the trim. Love the darkness of the tires. I love the moon roof, the controls for the screen and the simple clean dashboard. I like how easy it is to put the seats down. The car has all the features I’ve wanted for safety and technology and it is all wheel drive which I need. It has sports mode to get me on the Highway quickly and off roading mode which is good because I like to go to the mountains and I live on a ranch. I like the wireless apple car play and that the charger is hidden in the middle console and there is a space for the cord to come out so it’s not bent or messy looking. I like how the middle console is easy to keep clean. I love the reflection screen of the speedometer and that screen tells you if someone is on either side of you. The back up camera is crisp and easy to use. I love the boze sound system and the motion sensing windshield wipers. The only thing is it doesn’t work super well with mist but I’m sure that’s pretty normal. I love the bar racks on top it makes it look cool but they whistle really loud when driving so I’ll have to take them off unless they’re being used which is fine. Then I wish the moon roof would open all the way but that’s ok. I love the air conditioned seats and the heating seats too. Wish the steering wheel did the same, maybe that’s on a different model. When I’m getting out of the car to go I’m really quick to like get gas or something I’ll leave it on and lock it since my dog is in there. When you come back the apple car play won’t hook back up. In my forester it would. That’s just a tiny but annoying but not a big problem and I wish the gas tank would hold like one more gallon but surprisingly I goes a while without needing gas. Good gas milage. So far so good!
