Used 2009 Mazda 6 s Grand Touring 4dr Sedan (3.7L 6cyl 6A) Consumer Reviews
Black 2009 Mazda s Grand Touring
I test drove the 2008 G35 sedan, the 2008 Saab9-5, the Lincoln MKZ, and the 2009 Nissan Maxima and found the 2009 Mazda6 to be a better value for the money compared to all of them. It really is fun to drive and has a lot of power when you need it. It has great stylish looks inside and out and I like that Mazda took a tested engine (from the CX-9) and didn't make a brand new one. It will be interesting to see how this does now against the Honda Accord and Toyota Camery since it's now on par with those cars and might be an even better value.
Whats not to Love
Very Stylish best of all the sedans. Very quick acceleration, smooth transmission shifting. Handles curves like a real sports sedan should, yet has a very pleasant ride on the highway and over bumps, the 18 wheels are a plus. The car is roomy with options that you would normally find in cars twice the price. Overall: The best car I drove in its class by alot.

After 3,000 miles
I was in the market for over 9 months and I was deciding between the Mazda 6 and Lexus IS 250. Yes these two vehicles are very different and both had their pros and cons. I settled on the Mazda because of a larger size, more horsepower, larger trunk, more options for the price and fold down seats. In return, I gave up rear wheel drive and a better warranty. I am very happy with the purchase, so dont get turned off by my review. This car is fast and fun to drive. The controls are easy to operate and intuitive. The leather seats are not as comfortable and my 2001 Maxima, but they are softening up with time.
Mazda's plan worked!
I have been a Honda owner for the last 20 years. When it came time to trade in my CR-V, I was ready for a sedan. The Accord was nice, drove perfectly fine, and looked very elegant, but wasn't as exciting as the Mazda. The Accord just didn't have the "Zoom, Zoom." I had forgotten how much fun driving can be. Mazda's plan to compete with Honda for market share worked on this Honda owner. I've only had it for 1 week, but I love it more each day I drive it.
