So Far We're Very impressed

We moved from a Lexus RX350 to the 2022 Aviator Reserve and are pleasantly surprised. The ride and technology blow away the RX. The messaging seats are great for longer trips. It really helps if you have a bad back, which I do. We have had our Aviator now for 7 weeks and have driven 1,800 miles without any issues except for 3-4 occasions when the Sirius radio has not reconnected after a quick 2-3 minute trip to gas station or grocery store (happened 4x). The 28 speaker stereo is as good as any I've ever heard in a car. The acceleration is fantastic. It blows away the RX we had. The only major drawback so far would be the gas mileage. On long drives we have only gotten 21-22 mpg. We have had Lexus vehicle's for over 12 years and I was hesitant on switching but the power and comfort level in the Aviator swayed us. I'm hoping the reliability can equal the Lexus. The reviews on previous year models has me a bit worried but like I said, so far it has been great. 3/6/22: After having several Lexus RX350’s we switched it up and leased a 22’ Aviator Reserve. Although we ended up spending more than what we wanted in hindsight stepping up to the Aviator has been a great choice. Initially I was concerned about getting an Aviator after reading all the issues and buy backs Aviator owners have had we have been thrilled. We have driven 5K miles in the 5 months we have had it and no major issues and nothing that required me to talk to dealer about. Just had to check the manual. All the safety features are really nice too. We’ve gotten several compliments on the new color, Ceramic Pearl. We thoroughly enjoy all the bells and whistles the Aviator has which the Lexus RX didn’t. The messaging seats have made longer trips a breeze. My back issues have dissipated. The power of the V6 twin turbo would leave my old RX in the dust. The Revell stereo with 28 speakers blows me out of the car. The third row seat is only good for kids not adults. That’s about the only negative other than the gas mileage which is 19 city and 23 highway. The piano gear shifting still is taking time to get used to. Happy camper So it’s been 18 months and we still have had absolutely no issues with this beauty. The combined mileage is 22.5 which isn’t the greatest but it could be worse. Still a great road trip car.

hi all, the aviator is a dream to drive my previous car was a jaguar fpace. Nice car but the lincoln has it beat the aviator is quiet, comfortable roomy and not too bad on fuel. i did a 200 mile all highway run and got 27.6 mpg at highway speed. my only complaint is the exterior fit and finish which is no big deal

I’ve driven my 2022 Aviator for about four months now with no repairs needed. Very quiet, nice ride, comfortable seats and right at 20 MPG combined mileage. I’m very satisfied with this purchase. The Aviator now has about 18,000 miles. A few thousand miles ago I got an engine warning light on the dash. The dealer replaced something having to do with the thermostat. Other than that, the Lincoln hasn’t caused me any grief. It’s a beautiful vehicle, rides great. I’m very pleased.

Like IT But

2022 Lincoln Aviator Grand Touring 4dr SUV AWD (3.0L 6cyl Turbo gas/electric plug-in hybrid 10A)

Grand Touring the best part of it, it doesn't use that much gas. The salesperson thought I was kind of crazy when I ordered it gas was $2 a gallon, a $5000 upgrade. But 5 months later when I got the car, gas was over $4 a gallon. With the $6500 Government rebate which I didn't know about at the time, ended up being a win-win. It comes with a 110v or 220v charging unit. First, I just charged it with 110v outlet but that was an overnight process. I upgraded to a 220v outlet now it charges in just a few hours. My average is 39.3 MPG for 14,000 miles. The good news about the car; engine is power peppy. I like the center console with buttons in it. With a glance, one can fell the buttons without having to keep looking. Touch screens are nice but distracting. The safety features are great when we first got it. I was backing up and my daughter (22) walked next to the rear quarter panel, and it stopped, the pedestrian sensors really work. It has all the driving features; adaptive cruise, lane keep assist, blind spot, hot and cold with massage seats and heads up display (my Fav). Plenty of room in the second row, third row is tight but usable for short trips. Plenty of room in the back with the third row folded, the push bottom up and down is great. The downside: the seats are not very comfortable on long trips. After about a few hours, the seats tend to be hard even with the full massage function. Luckily, I haven't had to travel more than four hours at a time.

PRICEY

Beautiful but in my opinion overpriced. For a few dollars more the Lincoln Navigator is available. Cramped rear passenger compartment comparable to Ford Explorer. Rear seating lacks the luxurious appeal of the front passenger area. The Aviator MSRP is a high price to pay for lower fuel consumption.
