Pleasantly Surprised
Test-drove the audi q5, mercedes glk and rx350. I decided to got with the rx350 because it had an amazing feel to it, very luxurious. I had a rav4 (v4) prior to this, I used to average 10.8L/100km. In the rx I average 11.5L/100km, wow. I also felt like it was roomier than the q5 and glk. It cost me more than the german competitors and it was worth it. I really enjoy driving this car and if Lexus keeps their standards high I can see my self purchasing another one in 4 years. I got mine in Starlight Black Mica (the colour glows in the sun) with the saddle tan interior. I am loving this combination. The LEDs and new corporate grill make this car look much more sportier than before.
This SUV saved our lives!
I was entering the intersection on my green light heading north when I was "T-BONED" on the passenger side. My 23 year old daughter was the passenger and did not know we were going to get hit (she was on her cell phone). He was speeding, ran a red light and never applied his breaks. We were flipped over in the middle of the intersection spinning and finally sliding to a grinding halt. We were upside down and suspended by our seat belts. I was terrified that the gas tank would explode and when she came to, she was terrified that another car was going to hit us. Once the police officer and EMT released my seat belt I crawled out of that vehicle with a glass cuts on my knee and elbow.......just wiped off with alcohol very minor. My left arm was caught between the seat belt and airbag so it is badly bruised and my left cheek is bruised and well as my chest. The important thing is WE BOTH SURVIVED AND CAME OUT OF THAT VEHICLE ON OUR OWN!! This Lexus saved our lives!

Absolutely LOVE it.......
I just purchased my first Lexus a few days ago and it was the best decision that I had ever made. The vehicle is so comfortable and well built. The quality of the vehicle is absolutely outstanding. The interior is very well made & plush. This vehicle has all the features. The vehicle is so quiet and I just love it. I used to own a 2012 Cadillac and it was so uncomfortable and very noisy! This will not be my last Lexus. I am sure that I will purchase another one in the near future. Carrie
Great vehicle with only a few complaints
The 2013 has made subtle changes from the '12 model but the changes are noticeable. The front of the car looks great now and unfortunately those with the 2012 model look outdated and antiquated next to it. The interior is clean, modern, and sleek without goddy ornamentation and flare. It's a luxurious car without looking ostentatious. The ride is smooth and you can't hear the wind outside going 70mph down the highway. The technology is a win, I've driven Mercedes (2011), Jeep (2012), BMW (2006), and so on... none of them come close to the Lexus for tech. Pandora is a huge plus.
Elegance, Sophistication, Power
Lexus spoiled me. After driving my GS 300 22 years and 191,100 miles I thought I'd like to drive a newer car. I test drove several Toyotas including the Highlander and was close to being sold until I went across the street to Lexus. Ah, the comfort of my GS 300, the beauty of the elegant lines, gorgeous starfire pearl exterior and parchment interior and supremely quiet inside. How could I ever accept any other car? I can't, never will. This is a most exceptional car and, after looking and researching this model for 3 years, I finally have my dream car. It's about as perfect as one will find with a roomy interior and power on the road. What a beautiful, elegant vehicle. There is only one little annoyance: I'm a petite person at 5'2" and, even when the driver's seat is adjusted as high as possible, I cannot see on the other side of either side mirrors. The size and placement of the mirrors completely blocks my view of any other car that may be close to me. I have to jump up and arch around the impediment to see any car I might hit or any curb I approach in a turn. My GS 300 had the mirrors lower than eye level and I never had a problem seeing any other cars. For this reason my next car will probably be another Lexus but a more driver-friendly, safer view one. Word to the wise: Be sure your Lexus RX 350 Is made in Japan not in North America. Nothing excels Japanese attention to detail, pride in workmanship and acceptance of nothing less than perfection. Teaching American workers about technical requirements doesn't convey teaching ethics and a sense of self worth that extends to Japanese made products. Those are the cultural differences. You'll be able to tell the country of manufacture by the VIN number. When it begins with a "J" it's made in Japan. Anything else, like a "2" and it's made in Canada. You take your chances if it's not made by the Japanese. I've been researching ultralight, featherweight travel trailers and see my 2013 model can only tow 3500 pounds maximum which limits choices in travel trailers. I don't want to buy a more powerful Lexus so may have to compromise on the RV. I'm also reticent about having a trailer hitch installed. The car is just so beautiful I don't want to do anything to spoil the bumper. I may have to investigate a heftier transmission in a newer model but it will be Lexus or maybe Toyota Highlander if the ride has been improved.

Not made in Japan & service costs vary greatly
This 2013 RX350 is my 7th Lexus ( my 4th RX) and my first Lexus built in the USA rather than Japan. This RX has also been my the least reliable one. The car had a chronic and constant squeak audible at low speeds which after 4 trips to the dealer finally got diagnosed as a poorly fitted hood (poorly fitted at the factory). It was finally fixed at 20,000 miles. The squeak had gotten so annoying that I actually considered selling the car rather than listen to it. The electric self positioning steering column began to groan when it moved, starting at about 35,000 miles, and was replaced under warranty. The dealer had to keep my car for two weeks to make the repair. The service tech said the steering column would have eventually given out and that it is tied into the car's starter switch so failure would have rendered the car inoperable. It would have cost $2 500 to fix had it been out of warranty. Also the leather on the two front seat cushions wore poorly. Deep creases developed into cracks during two years and 50,000 miles of normal use, despite routine application of leather conditioner. The leather cover on the door armrest also came loose from it's padding. After some discussion between the dealer and the factory rep, all of these upholstery items were replaced even though the car was a few miles beyond it's warranty period. My previous Lexus experiences were trouble free, so I felt I bought good value despite the high purchase price. However, this car has required a lot of attention. Although this RX is a safe comfortable versatile SUV, it is not a great machine like all my other Lexuses. About service, I have learned that each Lexus dealer sets the cost it charges for service and these costs do vary greatly,. Desert Lexus in Cathedral City, CA charges more for service than any other dealer I have found in Southern CA. I will probably not buy an 8th Lexus.

Suggestions
Bought this RX350 in March 2013 and have 30,200 miles on. We got every option except radar and front window navigation. It is what we thought a Lexus should be. If there is a next time would go with Hybrid because of intown mileage. Am not convinced the 19" wheels are right for the car and would have liked to have had 18". The odometer shows consistently higher speed by about 3 or 4 miles than actual speed as measured by radar signs and when running a side-by-side with other 2013 SUV's.

Compliments my Porsche 911
I just bought a 2013 Certified RX 350 F sport with 18,000 mi. and think it's a great car. I have always driven manual shift cars and this car is a nice luxury experience. I am in my early 70's and plan on this being my last car, which is why I bought a Lexus and not a German car. As far as the reviews, I don't quite understand. I have owned an early Porsche 911 for almost 25 years. This car is certainly not a Porsche, it was never intended to be. But I can hold my own on an autocross course, and I have driven this car on some curvy, decreasing radii turns requiring heavy braking, power on acceleration out of turns and weight transfer. I think this is a great car for what it is in the handling dept. Having driven Honda's for most of my life, if the quality is up to that standard (and I am sure that it is) I will be very happy.

Disasterous Door Actuators
Lexus is generallly thought of as a highly reliable car. But, be aware... there is a major problem with the door actuators. Our doors have failed to lock when using the transmitter for the third time. The dealer fixed the problem the first two times, but now has failed to even return a phone call. No more Lexus!!

Not Like Our First Lexus
Our first Lexus was a 2005 RX330, purchased as a Lexus Certified Used vehicle and was great. We purchase our 2013 Lexus in November 2012 expecting the same quality of materials and design but were somewhat disappointed and over the years this has not changed. From the "carpeting" that is little more than fuzzy laminated rubber to the leather seats that have turned blue, show way to much wear for a vehicle that has less than 50,000 miles, been garaged and driven by two people who combined weigh less than most individuals do, Lexus really cut back on the material quality on this model when compared to our 2005 RX. We also learned to late that the rear parking sensors can be intermittent and are not aimed to protect the entire rear of the vehicle. The sensors do not protect the area you are backing into if you are turning while backing up which we learned the hard way. Finally, many features that you would consider standard for a luxury vehicle such as rain sensing windshield wipers or quality tires, ours came with Dunlop Tires which the dealer refused to change causing us to almost walk away from the deal, and many little details that were obviously changed or eliminated to cheapen the vehicle. We recently considered purchasing another Lexus RX but did not due to costs and the current design, my wife hates the front end. We were particularly interested in the new RX 350L with third row seating, what an engineering an design disaster. Of the vehicles with third row seating that we looked at the 350L was the worst in every way. Sorry Lexus, even though we have enjoyed the drive, ride, reliability and the service of our 2013 Lexus, we will wait until you do a complete overhaul of the RX before we purchase another.

My new 2013 RX350
2013 Lexus RX350: -Inconvenient driver storage areas: The only convenient area is the door pocket (which conveniently expands). -The shelf under the center console is very difficult to access. -the Lexus Remote Touch System is impressive but not efficient to use. -GPS system - salesman said the database can be updated. He didnt say itll cost $169. -My biggest disappointment - CD player! Window Sticker- listed under Standard Equipment, 6-disc CD Changer. On right, under accessories: single CD/DVD player (deceiving) Since it was listed under Standard Equipment, I thought I was paying for a 6-disc CD Changer! I didnt catch this sleight of hand switch.
160,000 miles and it still feels new!
I got this vehicle back in 2016 or 2015. It currently has 169,429 miles on it and it is still running well! I don't know if I'll ever sell it with the fact of this! The sound system is amazing, only have one complaint. About 2 years ago, the locks one by one break, it was first the front passenger, then it went to the rear left door, next to the driver door, then the right passenger door, it has been switching locks every about 6 months.
2013 RX350 FWD fully loaded
Bought a brand new RX 350 fully loaded on October 14, 2013. This is my first Lexus and have been a previous owner of several Toyotas like Camry, Venza and Yaris. While I like the vehicle in general I posted some of the improvements so that prospective buyers can be aware of some of the shortcomings and may want to wait for the completely redesigned 2015 model which should be out some time late in Fall 14.
2013 moves ahead in design
I traded for a 2013 as I really like the exterior styling changes and the new claret mica color. It reminds me of looking through a sparkling glass of California pinot noir. The interior is still as comfortable as the 2010-2012 versions, and the cabin is still as quiet. No change to the powertrain means the same peppy performance and smooth shifting A/T.
RX 350 Worry Free Comfort
Ride, and low maintenance are great. Not much in fun to drive or connectedness to driving experience. Paint easy to scratch, navigation and Bluetooth not as intuitive as previously owner Audi.

Best car ever
Have provided on time maintenance for this great car for the eight years I have owned this vehicle. Have only replaced the struts. Love this car.

Saved our lives!
I was driving down a main road with my son in the back seat in 2016 and there was traffic I had stopped, the person behind us didn't even try to stop and rear-ended us at about 60 mph and caused a 4-car pile up our vehicle was immobilized, about 10 seconds later another car came by and tried to slow down on the other side for traffic and they couldn't either, there was black ice and the car hit us head on after losing traction. The best part was we were both fine and didn't have to be taken to the hospital the vehicle was 1,000$ in damage away from being totaled according to the insurance company the car was in the shop for 4 months, the only thing I'm glad for is that this vehicle saved me, I bet if I was in the Chevy Spark I had prior I would have not been here today.

More than expected...........I just love my Lexus
Looking to buy a luxury crossover is not a pleasant experience. At first I was confused to buy Acura/Audi etc. Though they are good cars, looking for a full package is a costlier deal in these models. But Lexus RX350 provides just what I was looking for... A beautiful comfortable drive, reliability, noise isolation is just awesome. Overall it is great car for those who are looking to buy a luxury cross-over. Though F-sport version does not quite appeal much. But regular AWD Lexus RX350 does not disappoint you..!! Peace.!

Looks brand new in and out. Pre owned RX is eceryt
Bullet proof is what people say about Lexus so preown is a good value for a 50,000 SUV with 100k miles. Everything I read and watch on Utube and on sites say the same thing if you find a good used one which was serviced you can go 300,000 miles plus if you maintain it. This Toyota engine and trans is next selling luxury SUV because they can really last decades. The interior is beautiful Leather has really help up over its years because its well made and put together
Smooth ride?
Have our 2013 Lexus RX 350 for about a month. It has all the bells and whistles. Over all, I am happy with the car so far. However, I do not agree with those who say it has a smooth ride. This car has a very stiff ride, and I can feel every bump on the road. Unless I am driving on a very smooth surface, the ride is bumpy. Also, I find the seats rather tough. We have a 2011 Honda Accord which is smoother than this car! Maybe, it has something to do with the bloody Dunlop tires. Can not tell about reliability yet.
Engaging the cruise control blanks out the dashboard display!
I've been driving Lexus' LS's for over 20 from 400- 460's. When purchasing my new RX350, no one at Lexus informed me that there was a flaw when engaging the cruise control. When you engage the cruise control the display located on the dashboard above the speedometer goes blank other than the word SET, and does not re-appear unless: 1.You hit the brakes, which disengages the cruise control, or 2.You manually re-engage the display with the thumb control on the steering wheel, or 3.You turn the cruise control off. None of the LS's, IS's, ES's or GS's do this so it is an obvious flaw in manufacture. Lexus says you have to live with it. I wouldn't have bought it had I known up front.
Had enough with noise in the cabin :(
First, let me be clear that I have nothing against the Lexus brand, they make great cars and my family love their cars. That past experience has holded me back till now to write anything negative about Lexus but here is what has happened. I replaced my two year old 3 series bmw with a 2013 Lexus RX350. Loved the vehicle, still do BUT I started hearing this very hard to notice (for anyone not sitting on the driver' seat) noise, it was coming from the left drive side seat belt column. On long trips and even shorter ones, a tiny bump or little wind will make the noise to be more constant and annoying. Long story short, I have taken the vehicle to Lexus service three times as of June 1st..
poor ride
when I test drove the car the salesman kept me on glass smooth road, now I know why. lexus should be ashamed to call this a luxury vehicle. it rides horrible, you feel every bump in the road plus a lot of cabin air noise. I took it back to the dealer and all the service tech could say was" that's the normal ride for that year".i have 18" Michelin tires pressure set at 32lbs per factory specs. my last lexus! I have a buick enclave with 114000 miles on it and trust me its a far better car.

The best SUV on earth
I just purchased my first Lexus a few days ago and it was the best decision that I had ever made. The vehicle is so comfortable and well built. The quality of the vehicle is absolutely outstanding. The interior is very well made and I really do not want to finish my driving! This vehicle has all the features. The vehicle is so quiet and I just love it. I am not sure about realiability yet, but my Toyota experience ( I used to own a 2002 Toyota Highlander) has been great. This will not be my last Lexus. I am sure that I will purchase another one in the near future. Eddy

Almost…
We bought this model because it drives so well. This is the 2nd RX350 and the first one goes to our daughter now. This one was not bought with features in mind. It’s far from loaded or feature rich. However that means less to go wrong with electronics.
Hate the new 2013 RX 350
Let me start my review by saying that I loved my 2010 RX 350. Why haven't I read that the 2013 RX 350 has a much stiffer suspension and harder seats. Even my husband who doesn't care about comfort in car has noticed that the seats are hard. I leased the 2013 RX 350 non sport model. NON Sport and it has a very harsh bouncy ride. I so wish that I had not turned in my 2010 for this model.
Dream come true
Yes this RX350 is everything and more than I expected. What a vehicle. I truly can not think of anything that should be changed or improved upon. We just love everything about it. Dreams do come true----- Traded in March 2015. Reason--- mpg was horrid. Average of less than 15 mpg

Disapointed/major repairs /low miles
Very poor sat/radio, constantly goes in and out, in areas that my MB does not. Replaced my leaking rear struts under 50k, replaced leaking radiator at 92k. A $850 repair. My pathfinders only repair in 177000k was a heater blower motor @$500 . My next SUV will be the Infiniti QX60.

Best choice I ever made
From day one I knew I bought the vehicle I always wanted. Everything is perfect with this vehicle. Looks,Ride,Comfort, quiet, refined and safe. Also lots of storage and plenty of room to haul just about anything when the back seats are folded down. Just fantastic. Plus-- the re-sale value is there when your ready for another quality vehicle from Lexus.
Enform
The Lexus Emform suite is poorly designed and never should have been released. There are numerous bugs, the most annoying being the failure of Pandora to operate. Dealer had no answers or fix saying Lexus is working on the issues. It's fairly obvious that product/software testing was not adequate prior to releasing.
AM RADIO PROBLEM
Beautiful design, love it!, very nice ride, a little pricey but worthy, Only problem AM radio stations have static, took car to the dealer in West Kendall in Miami and was told they don't have a fix to the problem yet, Lexus is working on it, and that as soon as a fix is available they will contact me. Service and General Manager said this is a problem with the RX and the ES. Service dept tried to give me a 'closed' ticket and I demanded that the problem of the radio needed to be clearly stated on the service ticket and it should be treated as an 'open' ticket, they promise to follow up and contact me once a fix was available. I wrote to Lexus headquarter and stated the problem
RX for Driving Happiness
We bought our 2013 RX350 as a certified vehicle with 27K miles in August of 2016. It was evident from the sterling condition and impeccable service records that the first owner babied the vehicle. Five years later, our silver AWD has passed 50K miles. We have also babied the RX and it has been a perfect traveling companion for long trips, as well as in-town chores. It is completely loaded with all options and rides on Michelin tires for added smoothness and safety. Just back from a 1K trip --- mostly freeway plus speeds ;) with 23.5 mpg. I'm 57 and truly believe this may be my last vehicle purchase as I don't think I can find anything better. Updated 08/22 - nearly 58K miles on the Lexus and no issues, other than an intermittent false low tire warning. Heading in soon for its 60K mile service. Great vehicle.

Another Class Act!
After turning in our 2010 lease a bit early, I bought a new 2013 RX 350. What a difference. The auto rides like on a cloud yet handles impeccably. There have been a number of refinements in the user interface which were all welcomed. Now there a buttons for everything as well as control from the redisigned and easier to use mouse. I like the apps which are useful especially Pandora. The mileage has been good as I am getting up to 24 mpg on the highway. Averaging about 21 mpg so far. All in all a great car and happy we bought another Lexus.

Not bad
This car is not bad even I preffered to lease a BMW X5 35d, X5 is bigger with more technologies and brand name, but I decided to lease the Lexus for my wife as well as a good deal. After couple weeks drive, it is not so disappointed, everthing works fine and obviously much better than the RX300 I leased on 2000. If you don't care the brand name and some strange designs, even F Sport comes with better appearances, it is an option for luxury SUV's at this class.

Reliability can't be beat.
This is our 3rd Lexus in 16 years. The first was an RX 300. It was well over 300k miles when we watched it drive away (still see it from time to time on the road). The 2nd was a GX 470 that also was finally let go after 319,500 miles (it still had a lot of life left in it). Now we have went back to the RX choosing to go with the 2013 model. I looked for several months for my next vehicle. I wanted to step out of the Lexus family just for something different but I could not find anything that could compare to the quality of this brand. Lexus just builds incredible suvs. My only complaint is that I need an LX to park beside RX, then I could have the best of both worlds. Lol.

Amazing car
This car almost reach 100T but looks and drives as if I just purchased it. I spent only for oil and scheduled maintenance and spent on the gas that’s required. I trust Shell for my gas. I can’t help not to love the line of Lexus. My first car was ES 350 and I traded in just to get this SUV and I feel I should have not traded that in but maintain both. It’s worth to spend money on car that won’t give you headache.
