My lexus is a lemon
Bought new, always serviced at original Lexus dealership, babied this car. Had to replace all valve springs and gaskets at 25k mi and then replace all valves and gaskets at 40k mi. They tell me this has been a problem with a "handfull" of these cars, but I suspect a handful means at least several hundred. My car has been in no accidents, perfectly maintained, garage kept, driven daily. They say it is because the fuel injector sprays the valves from behind instead of from above, part of their outstanding design. No excuse for these major engine problems...period. Very disappointed. Won't buy another Lexus...EVER! Never owned any new car with such major problems at low miles.

Sweetness
When you look at the vehicle it feels like a Luxury Sports Car. The interior feels like you are in a cockpit. It feel smooth and handle great at high speeds around curves, keyless entry is great, would recomend to anybody.
IS 250
Paint finish is excellent; The 18s make a little noise but then most large tires do. I found the nav to be too busy. I was watching the road less and pressing buttons. Standard radio is great the bass will shake the mirrors. Im ok with that. The paddle shifting is silly. If you want to shift buy the manual. Im tall 63 and I find the interior ample for the size of the car.The rear has as much legroom as my GS400. I do not consider this IS 250 auto to be a sports car. It is a sporty sedan that is fun to drive. The IS 350 is closer and is much more exciting to drive. I however would get into trouble with that much pedal response; the car is just fast. The 250 handles great for a midsize sedan
And I thought it was just my IS250
I took over ownership and payments for this vehicle, when my daughter lost her job. So when I started having engine problems, immediately I blamed them on my daughter's driving and lack of maintenance. Engine would overheat and the dealership took about 4 weeks to figure it out. About 3k$ later, heads, valves and the like had to be replaced. It runs fine now but, this is not the quality I expected from Lexus. I have owned Toyotas that were at 180k before a tuneup was needed. If you are looking for a dependable car, this is not it. Make sure you put repair money aside, because you will need it. I love the look and ride, but I've paid more than the expected to maintain this vehicle.
