Decent but I have concerns
I purchased a used 2012 Optima Hybrid late summer of 2013. It had 18k miles on it when purchased. From 2013 through Feb 2018 I had no issue. I only drive about 5k miles a year. In March 2018 I had some sort of electrical issue that affected the radio and rear camera. There was something disconnecting and the radio and rear camera would die and have no power. It would drain the battery and then the car wouldn't start. I had an extended warranty and the warranty covered this issue with only $50 out of pocket. THe dealer told me this would've been a $2500-3000 repair. Fast forward to 2019 and the exact same issue happened. Here I am with a car with only 44k miles on it and I had another $2500-3000 repair. Luckily, the extended warranty was good and I had it repaired again. After repairing, I realized that my warranty was expiring at the end of 2019 and I decided to trade it in for something else. I'm not saying this problem whatever it was would have happened again but I wasn't taking a chance. Each time they repaired it, the repair took close to a week. Luckily I had a rental paid for by the warrant company and wasn't without a vehicle. I liked the ride of the car and comfort but I wouldn't buy it again given the problems I had.

update* reaching about 13000 on my 2011 SX
so far no problems! I must agree with the road noise though. I never owned a Kia before, but if they just get the wheels/road noise and (my preference, wheel well gap shortened) it would be nearly perfection. On soft pavement its extremly quiet, on rough/normal pavement it really makes me consider buying some better tires and im leasing it :/... Anyway, fuel economy no matter how much i try i cant seem to do 22 city (LA stop go traffic: 15-18 :( but on the dealer paper it states actual milage may be 18 in fine print) but i can definitly do 34+ highway. Overall, not upset everything works well, still get compliments and stares every day Wish the logo changed w the designs! i'll update at 25k.

Short-Term Review (5k Miles) SX Premium Touring
Currently owned for 3 months (my last car was an Acura TSX). I researched like hell because I never thought that I would purchase a KIA in the near-future. Overall, I am in love with the vehicle. I mainly purchased the vehicle because of the appeal, features, performance/fuel efficiency, and size (in order of whats important to me). I like to point out the price point- Retail $30,395. No car in the mid-size region offers every option as the optima SX for that price. Of course, pending where you live, incentives and supply/demand will dictate the final price. I couldn't be happier with my purchase and I feel like a million bucks (as I drive down the street knowing what I actually paid for it)
4000 mile update - Wow!- keep being impressed
After 3 months & 4000 miles we like this car -- and Kia, more and more. As previously posted, the amplifier was replaced under warranty. I complained to Kia, the found the problem, & took care of it. Last week we received a gift card from Kia apologizing that we had experienced a problem with our Kia. Wow!! What a nice experience compared to my dealings with Ford on our other car! We get so many compliments on this car. Love driving it. Really like the 2.4L engine. The only thing we would do differently is not buy the Infinity NAV system. My $150 Garmin is a much better nav, & you give up the HD radio. Controls are frustrating!
