Best car ever
Had this car for two days and have had more positive comments on its looks than any other car I’ve owned( and I’ve owned close to 45 cars in my life) That being said it also drives like a much more expensive sedan. The Bose 12 speaker sound system is AWESOME. I’m a senior citizen and this car has brought back the joy of driving. The Turbo is exhilarating to say the least. Watch the YouTube car vs car. I feel like I did when I had my first new muscle car, a 1968 Dodge Dart GTS 340. I actually think this car is faster. Do yourself a favor, test drive a 2025 Kia K5 with the Turbo. If I’m lying I’m dying!!

Good looking Lacks quality
The door, hood, trunk fitment is poor closing. The headlight fitment to fender is ok on the driver side the passenger side is sad to say the least. The rear internal fender shield will not stand up to snow/ ice build-up, guaranteed. The GT1 has power. The tech for self driving is good, but do not rely on it at on ramps. They cut a lot out from the 2015 optima SXL for a class car they are toting. Had it not been for burning a qt of oil in 500 miles I would have kept the Optima with 89000 miles Oh BTW not into apps to drive a car Please go back to the basics The above is all legit. After the headlamp assembly was adjusted to fit the fender and hood, Im ok with it. The trunk area is larger than it looks and has no real interference with speakers and what not. The lane assist and dynamic cruise control works quite well. The interior and seat comfort is of higher quality. Two things puzzle me! Why do the main headlights have to be on for the fog lpd to be turned on! Kind of defeats the purpose in the fog. Second, the map destination can not be set while in drive mode, I understand the safety aspect for a driver only in the car, but a passenger is detected and the system should allow it. I am a bit more positive overall.

Everything but!
This car is a vast improvement over the previous Optima model. Only thing I don’t understand is why they left out the Eyeglass/Sunglass storage compartment that is usually located over the rear view mirror? I don’t think I’ve ever seen a modern car that didn’t have this minor feature?
